  1. Mr. Popper’s Penguins is a must read for everyone, even if you are over 18. A surprise package for Mr. Popper from Antarctica turns out to be something remarkable…a penguin! HE named him Captain Cook. Mr. Popper loves this gift and makes a house for the cute fellow in his icebox only to have a female soon join him. He calls her Greta. Soon there are eggs! And before you know it there are 12 penguins all in Mr. Popper’s house with his 2 kids and wife as well. They set out on an adventure to show the country their Penguins and they do a show.
