  2. The common risk factor approach in promotion of oral health.+

High relative risk of oral disease related to socio-cultural determinates such as poor living condition, low education, lack of traditions ,belief and culture in support of oral health. • Communities and countries with inappropriate exposure to fluoride imply high risk to dental caries and settings with poor access to safe water or sanitary facilities are environmental risk factors to oral health as well as general health.

  4. Control of oral disease depend on availability and accessibility of oral health system .but reduction of risks to disease is only possible if services are oriented towards primary health care and prevention. • Socio- environmental factors that effect the oral health depend on amount , frequency of intake ,types as well as tobacco use and excessive alcohol consumption.

  5. Most of the evidence related to dental caries prevention and control of periodontal disease ,gingivitis can be by good personal oral hygiene practices including brushing and flossing which are important also to the control of advanced periodontal lesions.

  6. Community water fluoridation is effective in preventing dental caries in both children and adults .water fluoridation benefits all residents served by community water supplies regardless of their social or economical status. • Salt and milk fluoridation schemes are shown to have smaller effects when used in community preventive programmers.

  7. Fluoride mouth rinses ,gels. tooth pastes and the application of dental sealants are additional means of prevention of dental caries. • Individuals can take actions for themselves and for persons under care, to prevents diseases and maintain health .with appropriate diet and nutrition primary prevention of many oral. Dental and craniofacial diseases can be achieved.

  8. Optimal intervention in relation to oral diseases in not universally available because of escalating costs and limited resources. • Oral health care providers can also play a rols in promoting health lifestyles by incorporating tobacco cessation programs and nutritional counseling in to their practices.
