Palestinians will join the International Criminal Court in April, UN confirms Daily Telegraph, January 7, 2015 The Palestinians will join the International Criminal Court (ICC) on April 1, the United Nations confirmed on Wednesday, opening the way for potential war crimes complaints against Israel. The announcement by Ban Ki-moon, the UN secretary general, will lead to a new phase of intense legal and diplomatic confrontation. Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian leader, began the process of joining the court at the end of last year after the UN security council rejected a resolution asking for a deadline to a final peace agreement and Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories. He hopes that the move, which has transformed his relationship with Israel from strained to openly hostile, will put pressure on Israel to broker a deal. But Israel, which fears its soldiers and officials will be pursued through the court, responded by ordering a halt to £83 million of monthly tax revenues that Israel collects for the Palestinian Authority. EVENT The International Criminal Court was established in Rome in 1998 and came into being in 2002. The court looks at genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. In effect only states that are signed up can use the court. Palestine is not a state so cannot use it. But the UN announced this week that Palestine will join the ICC in April. America has responded saying that this cannot happen. Israel has responded by freezing Palestinians funds. The reason the Palestinians want to join the ICC is twofold. Firstly it is yet another step towards all nations recognising them as a state. Secondly they want to prosecute Israel for war crimes. American officials called this application the “nuclear option”. The Bible says that Israel enemies will rise up, they will be confederate against Israel and work to destroy them. This is a step in this prophesied direction… COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Psalm 83:2-4)

"We have been warning the French authorities for years — there have been many attacks on French Jews by Islamists," said Marc Lissak, a French national of the Jewish faith in Paris. "But they didn't want to take this poison of extremism seriously or admit to the Islamist threat.” Anti-Semitic attacks in France have been on the rise, and observers who keep track of the incidents and attitudes toward Jews say they indicate a growing problem in French society. "Violence against Jewish individuals and institutions in the last five years has all been generated from the Muslim population," said Michael Salberg, director of international affairs at the Anti-Defamation League, a New York-based group that tracks and counters anti-Semitism around the world. EVENT France is home to around half a million Jews and five million Muslims—the largest in Europe for both religions. Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians in the Middle East often spill over onto the streets of France. Last year, synagogues were attacked and Jewish-owned shops were set on fire during the conflict in the Gaza Strip. More Jews are retuning to Israel from France than from any other country. Well over 5000 have returned in 2014. This is even more than Ukraine, Russia and America. The horrifying attacks by two Muslims this week in France did not take long to become attacks against Jews. We know with Bible in hand that another holocaust is coming. A time when many Jews will be killed in Israel. The world as whole is turning against Israel. This is in the kingdom when the Jew is no longer hated. • Jewish Agency:15,000 Jews to leave France for Israel Daily Telegraph, January 13, 2015 A record 15,000 French Jews could emigrate to Israel this year amid fears of rising anti-Semitism in Europe, according to the official body overseeing migration to the Jewish state. The figure – double the number who left France for Israel last year – has been forecast by Natan Sharansky, head of the Jewish Agency, following last Friday's deadly attack on a kosher supermarket in Paris by a French jihadist, which left four Jewish citizens dead. The attack prompted an appeal to French Jews by Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, who told them they would be made welcome if they wished to move to Israel. Jewish Agency statistics projected that the number of French Jews preparing to make aliyah (emigration) to Israel was on course to reach record levels of around 10,000 even before last week's attack. Some 7,000 French immigrants arrived in Israel in 2014, more than twice the 3,300 who came in 2013. EVENT he The attacks on the Kosher supermarket were hardly mentioned in comparison to the attacks on Charlie Hebdo. The difference between to two attacks is huge. The satirical magazine insults all religions. It is poisonous against Jew, Muslim and Christian. It is a godless, immoral and sick publication. Millions of people now declare Je Suis Charlie. I am Charlie – in other words we stand with these godless people. But the Jews killed in cold blood were different. These were people who were killed not for insulting others but for purely being a Jew. That was the difference. How many in France held up posters saying “"Je Suis Juif" ("I Am Jewish")? Not many! It was interesting that the Turkish president said that Netanyahu should not have gone to France as he had blood on his hands following the Gaza conflict. Turkey is Togarmah in the Bible and actually invades Israel with Russia. We see the world turning against the Jews. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Zechariah 8:22-23)

Hezbollah will invade Israel in next Middle East war Washington Free Beacon, January 15, 2015 In the next war with Hezbollah, the Lebanese-based militia will likely attempt sending large ground forces across the border to seize villages inside Israel, according to Brig. Gen. Itai Brun, the outgoing head of Israel’s Military Intelligence research division. In an interview with the newspaper Israel Hayom, Brun said that Hezbollah would also likely carry out pinpoint terrorist attacks on cities in northern Israel, like Nahariya, a seaside city of 50,000 population six miles south of the border. However, Hezollah’s main effort will be the firing of 1,000 rockets a day into Israel, more than twice the average fired during the month-long Israel-Hezbollah war in 2006. Brun said the rockets would target strategic facilities. The militia’s arsenal is believed to contain well over 100,000 rockets. Unlike the 2006 conflict, Hezbollah now has thousands of rockets that are capable of hitting almost anywhere in Israel, said Brun. EVENT Hezbollah did not take part in the Gaza war of 2014. But according to the Israeli military intelligence official quoted in the article above in the next conflict Hezbollah will take part. He believes they will fire 1000’s of powerful rockets and also invade Israel itself. As we have mentioned there is an initial war between Israel and it’s neighbours (Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria etc) which concludes with the total destruction of Damascus and the removal of the thorns in Israel’s side ie Israel’s surrounding enemies. There are a number of references to Israel removing the “pricking briers” that surround them. This happens BEFORE Russia invades. However….Israel (especially northern Israel) is greatly weakened by this initial war. Israel wins but is left exhausted. It is into this vacuum that the outer ring of nations (Russia, Iran, Turkey etc) descend. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Ezekiel 28:22-24)

In recent years, France has had the highest number of incidents of any single country. Amazingly more than half of British Jewish people fear Jews have no future in the UK, according to a new study. Iran is dealing treacherously • Iran Promises to Collapse the Zionist Regime Following Airstrike Free Beacon, January 23, 2015 EVENT The Iranian military continued to threaten Israel on Thursday, following the assassination of at least one of its senior commanders in Syria during an airstrike over the weekend, in multiple statements issued by leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Top Iranian military leaders promised to hit Israel with devastating thunderbolts and vowed to effect the collapse of the Zionist regime after Israeli military forces launched a surprise strike on Sunday that killed six Iranian agents, including the top-level commander, and five members of Hezbollah who are believed to have been planning an incursion into the Jewish state. Iran also vowed to increase military support for Palestinian and Lebanese militants in order to enable more attacks on Israel, according to statements published in the Iranian state-controlled media. COMMENT Last Sunday Israeli helicopters attacked the Golan area in Syria and caused the deaths of five Hezbollah and six Iranian army officers. Israel has been back peddling following this attack. Under pressure from America, Israel has said it did not realise that an Iranian general was there. The Obama administration fears this could be come a full scale military conflict. This would then scupper their nuclear talks with Iran. But despite Israel’s climbdown Iran has come out with increasing bellicose statements about how it will retaliate. Israel has moved one of its Iron Dome rocket interceptors to the northern border. One Israeli military source said that a response from Iran / Hezbollah is almost certain. So we watch to see how events develop here. With Bible in hand we know for certain that Iran’s ambition is to try to bring Israel to an end. We read in Isaiah 13 how Iran is stirred up and fires its missiles. In Isaiah 21 we read of Iran as the treacherous dealer who rises up. It is possible this event sparks a retaliation that gets out of control. BIBLE QUOTE (Isaiah 21:1-2)

Hezbollah has accused Israel of carrying out Sunday's airstrike, which occurred on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. Israel, which is believed to be behind a number of airstrikes in Syria in recent years, has neither confirmed nor denied involvement. The Israeli officials said that the "Iron Dome" anti-rocket defense system has been deployed near the Syrian and Lebanese borders as a precautionary measure. Israel's Security Cabinet is scheduled to meet to discuss a potential escalation in violence, they said. EVENT he COMMENT Northern Israel was on high alert on Wednesday for possible Hezbollah retaliation following Sunday's attack on a Hezbollah convoy. Military convoys leading tanks and armoured personnel carriers were seen Tuesday in the Golan Heights and the upper Galilee. Farmers from nearby towns were told to stay away from their fields near the border. Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, Israeli's Chief of Staff said Monday that the army is prepared and is monitoring security developments in the north. So could these events lead to Stage 1 of God’s judgement of the world? Stage 1 is the inner ring war against Israel involving surrounding peoples – including Palestinians, Hezbollah and Syria backed by Iran. It might well be. When it comes it will be a war that sees Israel completely remove its immediate neighbours who are its enemies. It will be ferocious. Although Israel survives it will be greatly weakened. A vacuum will be left in the region. Into that will pour Russia, Turkey, Iran, Ethiopia, Sudan….Stage 2… BIBLE QUOTE (Isaiah 17:3-5 NLT)

Zechariah 12 is part 1 of the final conflict • Israel on brink of new conflict with Hezbollah Daily Telegraph, January 28, 2015 Israeli military vehicles burning EVENT Israel stood on the brink of all-out conflict with Hezbollah on Wednesday after launching air and ground strikes against the Lebanese Shia group in retaliation for an attack on a military convoy that killed two soldiers and injured seven others. A Spanish member of a United Nations peacekeeping force was also killed in the border town of Ghajar, which straddles the frontier between Israel and Lebanon. The incidents amounted to the most dangerous escalation on Israel's northern border since the last war in Lebanon in 2006. Israel told the United Nations it would take "all necessary measures" to defend itself. "Israel will not stand by as Hezbollah targets Israelis," wrote Ron Prosor, the Israeli ambassador to the UN, in a letter to the Security Council. "Israel will not accept any attacks on its territory and it will exercise its right to self-defence and take all necessary measures to protect its population.” COMMENT We reported last week that Iran had promised a response to the attack by Israel on the Golan Heights killing five Hezbollah and six Iranian army officers. The response came this week. Hezbollah launched an attack on an Israeli army unit killing 2 solders and wounding 7 others. Hezbollah, used five anti-tank rockets and roadside bombs for an ambush Wednesday, Jan. 28. Normally Israel’s response would have been ferocious. Any attack killing its soldiers is normally met with massive retaliation. But not this time. Israel shelled a few areas but has held back from widening the conflict. Israel does not want a war right now. Elections are coming up and there is a danger the war could go the wrong way. So Netanyahu is playing it very cautiously. Hezbollah is emboldened by this and warned Israel that they would continue to take over the Syrian Golan. Israel may not want war – but war with Hezbollah and the Palestinians is coming…soon. The sandstorm, made up of accumulated dust carried from the far reaches of the Sahara Desert in North Africa, also engulfed Cairo for a second day. High winds lashed those on the streets, causing some to walk backward to avoid getting the grit in their faces. Israel's Environmental Protection Ministry said air pollution levels were the country's worst in five years and the storm would last into Wednesday night. Israeli airports spokeswoman Liza Dvir said flights to and from the Red Sea resort city of Eilat temporarily were grounded due to the weather, though planes still flew through the country's main international hub, Ben Gurion Airport EVENT On Tuesday, the strong sandstorm first reached Egypt, temporarily closing Cairo International Airport to incoming flights. The weather front also caused strong waves to crash into the coast and saw Egypt close two of its seaports. This was of course exactly when Putin arrived. There is a storm coming. And Putin will head it up. We are told in Daniel 11 that the king of the north will come down like a whirlwind. In Ezekiel 38 are told that Gog (Russian leader) will ascend and come like a storm. He will be like a cloud to cover the land. This sandstorm as Putin arrived is a sign to show us what is really coming. A terrible storm – an army so large they will be like locusts covering the ground. When Putin finally invades it truly will be the greatest storm the world has ever seen… COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Ezekiel 38:9) (Daniel 11:40)

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: . • Netanyahu urges European Jews to move to Israel RT, February 15, 2015 Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, has urged European Jews to immigrate to Israel following the shooting dead of a Danish Jew outside a Copenhagen synagogue on Sunday. Netanyahu announced the government will discuss Sunday a $46 million plan to encourage Jewish migration from Belgium, France and Ukraine and said at the start of a cabinet meeting that Israel is the home of all Jews. The shooting at the Krystalgade synagogue that killed a 38-year old Jewish security guard came just hours after another deadly shooting at a free-speech event featuring an artist who had caricatured the Prophet Muhammad. Five Danish police officers were also wounded in the shootings. Police said Sunday they had shot and killed the man who had carried out both the attacks. EVENT COMMENT Anti-Semitism is growing in Europe. A journalist this week decided to test how safe the streets of Paris are for Jews. He wore a religious skullcap and secretly filmed the public's reaction using a hidden camera. He walked silently in the city for ten hours. The video he took is shocking. The hidden camera footage shows anti-Semitism is rife in the French capital as he is seen harassed and intimidated. As he wanders around neighbourhoods wearing the garments associated with the Jewish faith, he is spat at, threatened and even called a 'dog’. It is against this backdrop that Netanyahu called this week fro Jews to return to Israel. Israel he said is the home of all Jews. He is right of course. We know there is to be another influx of Jews coming back to the land. There are still millions who live outside Israel. God will gather them all one day. BIBLE QUOTE (Ezekiel 11:17-19)

This verse is speaking of Israel rejecting God and then being rejected by the nations • Netanyahu rejects Obama criticism of Iran speech Daily Mail, March 4, 2015 EVENT Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday brushed aside criticism from US President Barack Obama of his speech to Congress, in which he warned Washington was paving the way to a nuclear-armed Iran. The White House was infuriated by Netanyahu's address Tuesday to a joint session of the US Congress, where he laid out Israeli concerns at an emerging world deal with Iran on its nuclear programme. Obama, who refused to meet Netanyahu during his 48-hour visit to Washington, dismissed the speech as containing "nothing new," saying the Israeli leader "did not offer any viable alternatives". Israel believes Iran and world powers are likely to reach a deal that eases international sanctions on Tehran without applying sufficiently stringent safeguards to stop it developing nuclear weapons. Israel is extremely concerned about a possible future deal over Iran’s nuclear program that America is pushing for. The Netanyahu government believes that it will create a nuclear arms race in the Middle East because Iran will be allowed to continue certain parts of its nuclear program. The Obama administration believes that ultimately they cannot stop Iran entirely so a deal that allows Iran to continue in a limited capacity is better than nothing. The two different visions have created a massive gap between America and Israel. In fact America has scaled back some military cooperation with Israel in the last week. With Bible in hand we can say a number of things about these events. Firstly that Iran is pushing towards developing missiles that will destroy large numbers of people. Israel is right to be very concerned about Iran. One day Iran will invade Israel with Russia. Secondly Israel’s greatest ally America is distancing itself - Israel is isolated in the world. The philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur is joined with them… Hezbollah and Iranian officers approach Israeli border Jerusalem Post, March 5, 2015 Iranian officers who lead Shiite volunteers from Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan have taken over the battle against rebels in southern Syria, within six miles of the Golan border, according to a reserve Israeli army general. General Israel Ziv, who led counter-terrorism efforts for the Israeli General Staff, wrote in Yediot Achronot Thursday that ten thousand volunteers have been flown in by Tehran to bolster the flagging efforts of the regular Syrian army and their Hezbollah allies from Lebanon in meeting an offensive by Sunni rebels pushing towards Damascus from near the Jordanian border. Iran is taking over the reins in Syria, said Ziv. Members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stay close to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on the grounds that he needs protection, he said. In fact, no military decision [in Syria] is made without [the IRGC]. He described Assad as a puppet looking out at his lost land. . EVENT COMMENT While the trouble grows between Russia and Europe we also see turmoil in the Middle East. Iran is being stirred up. Iraq is a quagmire of violence. ISIS has sprung onto the scene causing terrible death and destruction. Syria is still aflame with over 200,000 killed in the internal war there. Overall it is a terrifying picture in the nations that surround Israel. Iran is using this turmoil to expand its influence right up to Israel’s borders. The Jerusalem Post reported that Iran has flown in 10,000 fighters into Syria to help Assad. These Iranian soldiers and officers are creeping ever closer to Israel’s Golan border. Only a few weeks ago we saw Israel attack a group of Iranian officers in the Golan area. We know a stage 1 war will come before Russia invades. Stage 1 will involve Hezbollah, Syria and the Palestine – helped by Iran – all against Israel… BIBLE QUOTE (Psalm 83:4-7)

The platform says a diplomatic settlement is in Israel’s primary interests. “The Zionist Union will act to formulate a diplomatic settlement and to determine secure and permanent borders for the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state by launching a diplomatic and security initiative,” the platform says. “This initiative will reflect the core values of the State of Israel as expressed in Israel’s Declaration of Independence: combining the call for peace and good relations with our neighbours with the unambiguous definition of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people.” EVENT With everything going on perhaps this general election in Israel has crept up on us unawares! Next Tuesday Israel votes for a new government. Because of Israel’s proportional voting system it means that no one party ever wins outright. So there is always some horse-trading that goes on after the election for up to one month to see what coalition can be put together. It makes Israel’s governments generally very fragile. The document, which is an amalgamation of recommendations prepared by European diplomats stationed in the region, accuses the government of exacerbating tensions in the city by accelerating construction in the eastern part of the capital. According to The Guardian, the city has been beset by a “vicious cycle of violence... increasingly threatening the viability of the two-state solution.” The report goes on to say that Israel’s “systematic” construction of housing in “sensitive areas” has compounded the problem. EVENT It is not just America that is agitated against Israel. Europe is also looking to increase sanctions against Israel as well. Europe sees Israel’s building of property in and around east Jerusalem as provocative because they believe east Jerusalem will end up being part of the future Palestinian state. We know that Jerusalem will become a burdensome stone for all peoples that surround Israel. I.e. Israel’s immediate neighbours. We know this because Zechariah 12 is at pains to explain stage 1 of the final conflict. But the immediate neighbours, those nations that surround Israel, are spurred into action because of the wider support they feel they have from the wider world. Interestingly following the election Israel has decided to conduct snap military exercises around Gaza using air force and special operations, infantry, armour, artillery and engineering units. But even more than this Obama has said he is re-evaluating US support of Israel at the United Nations. He was asked directly if he would consider supporting Palestinian statehood at the UN – he replied “we’re going to do that evaluation.” If Israel is divorced by America she will stand alone. EVENT COMMENT The Palestinians are trying to take advantage of the strain in relations between Israel and America. Obama has said he will reassess U.S. policy toward Israel following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's comment before last month's election that he would not allow the establishment of a Palestinian state on his watch. That could be a possible sign that Washington would no longer shield Israel in the Security Council. This gives the Palestinians (in their mind) their best chance of pushing for a state of their own. France's Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said late last month that his government would propose a council resolution in the coming weeks with a framework for negotiations toward resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. All nations it appears now want to drive forward to end what they see as Israel’s occupation. The Bible clearly says that all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. Israel responded sharply to the lifting of the ban. Yuval Steinitz, the intelligence and international relations minister, said it was “a direct result of the legitimacy that Iran is receiving from the nuclear deal that is being prepared, and proof that the Iranian economic growth which follows the lifting of sanctions will be exploited for arming itself and not for the welfare of the Iranian people”. The US White House said John Kerry, the secretary of state, had also raised his concerns with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, over the cancellation of the ban on Monday. COMMENT The Russian S-300 system was developed to defend against enemy aircraft and cruise missiles. The S-300 is regarded as one of the most potent anti-aircraft missile systems currently fielded. So why has Putin this week authorised the delivery of these banned missiles to Iran? The answer is these missiles will help protect Iran from attack. Russia has decided to help protect Iran in case the nuclear deal collapses and the US or Israel resort to military action. Mr Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, told reporters in Moscow that the missiles were an “exclusively defensive weapon”. Amazingly the Bible said 2500 years ago that Russia would help Iran in this way by acting as a guard or protector to them. In Ezekiel 38 we read that Gog (Putin) head of Russia would act as a “guard” (protector) of Persia (Iran). We also read that Iran will join Russia in invading Israel. As the article says Iran is stepping up the arming of Hezbollah in preparation for a major assault on Israel. The Bible tells us that this assault is coming. It gives us details of the exact peoples involved that launch the attack. It also tells who is helping them behind the scenes. It also tells us the final outcome and what happens next. The exact people are listed in Psalm 83. They include Philistines (Hamas), the inhabitants of Tyre (Hezbollah). Assur helps them. Assur is Assyria which includes Iran / Iraq. We are told in Psalm 83 that they will become like Sisera. Sisera was a Canaanite army general who fought against Israel. His army was defeated by Israel and he was killed with a tent peg! The official statement after their hour-long talk simply said that the Prime Minister criticized Russia’s sale of the S-300 advance anti-missile system to Iran as a “direct result of the dangerous deal on the table” between Iran and the P5+1 countries. What was not reported was Netanyahu’s warning to the Russian president that Israel’s “red line” is any attempt by Iran or Syria to transfer, to place any advanced weapons in the hands of Hezbollah, Iran’s world-wide proxy terrorist network operating out of Lebanon. Syria and Hezbollah are heavily armed with Russian weapons, and Hezbollah’s missile arsenal is considered to be larger than almost any army in the world. However their report this week coincides with a number of incidents on the Golan border. The Jerusalem Post reported that “heightened tensions in the North are spilling over from Syrian infighting.” International media reports said the Israel Air Force carried out strikes on strategic missile bases in Syria late on Friday night, reportedly intercepting an Iranian-Syrian attempt to smuggle advanced missiles, perhaps Scuds, to Hezbollah’s numerous weapons depots in Lebanon. The faction is one of the strongest proponents of settlement-building and annexing parts of the West Bank. The new Israeli government is seen as a right wing religious government that would never concede land and enable the Palestinians to have a state. Therefore America could well be moving against Israel to force their hand to make this happen. The Bible says the land will be divided. The treaty, which was finalised on Wednesday but still has to be signed, makes clear that the Holy See has switched its diplomatic relations from the Palestinian Liberation Organisation to the "state of Palestine”. The Vatican had welcomed the decision by the UN General Assembly in 2012 to recognise a Palestinian state. But the treaty is the first legal document negotiated between the Holy See and the Palestinian state and constitutes an official recognition. The treaty comes as Pope Francis prepares for a visit by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday before the canonisation of two new saints from the Holy Land the following day. Israel said it was "disappointed”. In a statement, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said the move would not help the peace process and "distances the Palestinian leadership from returning to direct and bilateral negotiations." The Pope makes a treaty with the Palestinians with regards the division of the land of Israel! We have in Biblical terms the little horn power of Rome in Daniel 7 (the Pope) making a covenant with the Philistines (Palestinians) with regard to the division of God’s land of Israel who He gave to the Jews. There must be scriptural significance with this event. And there is. Amazingly we read of a future leader of the Rome confirming a covenant with those opposed to the descendants of Jacob. It’s in Daniel 9v27. We read that “he shall confirm a covenant with many”. “He” grammatically refers to the ruler that destroyed the city and the sanctuary. The ruler who did this was a Roman ruler in AD70. A latter day Roman ruler makes an agreement for a period of 7 years with “many”. According to a top Iranian advisor, Tehran has “tens of thousands” of missiles pointed at Israel, and will not hesitate to use them. Speaking Thursday, Yahya Rahim Zafabi, a top advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said the tens of thousands of missiles will “sow the seeds of destruction in Israel” if they are to be fired. “The Zionists and the Americans know what the powers of Iran and Hezbollah are,” he added. “They know that over 80,000 missiles are pointed at Tel Aviv and Haifa,” with the figure apparently including the many short-range missiles Hezbollah is believed to have.Zafabi was apparently responding to remarks made Wednesday by Defence Minister Moshe Ya'alon, who said Israel “will not allow for the opening of another war front against Israel. We will act strongly against those who act against us or plans to act against us. We will reach their bases, damage them, and destroy their weapons." EVENT Iran wants Israel removed from the map. Even though they are talking to America about limiting their nuclear program there is no doubt with Bible in hand that we know this is all deceit. They are stalling for time and busy arming those people that surround Israel with deadly missiles and rockets that will one day be used against them. Zechariah 12 speaks of an initial war against Israel that involves Israel’s surrounding neighbours. It is a war we are told that Israel wins. It is the same war mentioned in Psalm 83. Iran [Assur] is mentioned in Psalm 83 as helping those peoples like Hamas and Hezbollah who want to destroy Israel. The treaty was agreed in principle last month and covers the activities of the Catholic church in Palestine. Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Vatican's foreign minister, said at the signing that he hoped it could be a "stimulus to bringing a definitive end to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which continues to cause suffering for both parties". He called for the resumption of negotiations with the aim of a two-state solution. "This certainly requires courageous decisions, but it will also offer a major contribution to peace and stability in the region," he said. COMMENT The Bible speaks of a latter day Roman ruler (Pope) making a treaty (covenant) with the enemies of the Jews. It marks the start of a final 7 year period of time (the time of trouble) that counts down to the crowning as king of Jesus in Jerusalem. The signing of this treaty (covenant) this week could well be the very one spoken on in Daniel 9:27. In a modern translation the verse reads like this “The ruler will make a treaty with many people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.” Who is the ruler? Well “his people” we are told in the previous verse are those who destroyed Jerusalem in AD70. The Romans! The ruler is a Roman ruler. Local media reports said the government was considering establishing a buffer zone on the Syrian side of the border for refugees - a move that would be an unprecedented step given decades in which the frontier has been a "frozen zone".. EVENT The Druze are a secretive, tightly-knit religious sect whose origins can be traced to Egypt a thousand years ago. They believe that God was incarnated on earth in the form of their leader, al-Hakim bi-Amrih Alla. The Druze do not have their own homeland. Thus, many of them migrated to the isolated mountains of Lebanon, Syria, and Israel, while others settled throughout the Middle East. There are 420,000 in Syria, 130,000 in Israel. Druze citizens are prominent in the Israel Defense Forces and in politics. As of 2012, 61 of the senior commissioned officers in the IDF were Druze. Netanyahu has inferred this week that Israel will intervene in Syria to protect the Druze community who are under threat in the Syrian conflict. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant jihadist group's affiliate in Egypt, "Sinai Province", said it had fired three Grad rockets at Israel. It said this was in retaliation for alleged Israeli support for Egypt's armed forces on Wednesday when the jihadists attacked army checkpoints in northern Sinai. Egypt is reeling from a string of deadly attacks by Isil on its security forces in the Sinai. Jihadists led by Isil have killed scores of troops, challenging President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's efforts to restore security and economic stability. This week ISIS launched a full-scale military offensive, starting with mortar fire and suicide bombings against five Egyptian military checkpoints in the Sinai Peninsula. In a fierce 10-hour battle for the town of Ramadi, at least 200 Egyptian soldiers, terrorists and civilians were killed. Egypt responded by deploying F-16 warplanes to bombard ISIS fighters. And so ISIS has moved ominously close to Israel’s borders. Then two days later rockets were fired at Israel by ISIS. Though no one was hurt and there was no material damage how long will it be before Israel is itself at war with this group? ISIS is unmerciful to fellow Muslims – what would they be like to Jews… ISIS was spawned out of the ruins of Iraq. Their main territory covers the same territory as the ancient Assyrians. And they behave in the same way as well. In Psalm 83 we read of Assur helping Israel’s surrounding neighbours who want to destroy Israel. Assur is actually Assyria. Many in America are also alarmed at Obama’s appeasement of this state that backs terrorism and seeks Israel’s destruction. As one writer put it – this deal would be the worst agreement in US diplomatic history. If the deal proceeds Iran would get an upfront signing bonus of $150bn! That’s 25 times the annual budget of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. The Bible says that there will be a treacherous dealer in Iran at the time of the end. It also says Iran will create great destruction and destroy many. Obama does not realise the role Iran will play in the future – but God does. The Jewish People Policy Institute said there were currently 14.2 million Jews in the world. When factoring in individuals with one Jewish parent and others who identify as part Jewish, the figure approaches 16.5 million - the Jewish population on the eve of the Second World War. The Nazis and their collaborators killed about 6 million Jews in the Holocaust. The report said the rise has been due in part to natural growth, mainly in Israel, which has about 6.1 million Jews and one of the Western world's highest fertility rates. The United States has the world's second largest Jewish population, at 5.7 million. France is a distant third with about 475,000 Jews, followed by Canada. EVENT It amazing to think that it has taken 70 years for the population of the Jews in the world to get back to where they were before the Second World War. Over 6 million were killed. It is difficult to comprehend the number and the atrocity. But here we are with numbers almost the same again but we stand again with a new holocaust on the horizon. We know with Bible in hand that there is another great time of trouble coming on Israel. Initially with the neighbours of Israel who attack to destroy them. Israel wins but is left weakened. Russia and Iran then sweep into the void and this time Israel is overpowered and Jerusalem is lost. Two thirds living in Israel are killed. It’s another holocaust. But when all seems lost Christ returns with the saints who have been judged by this point to save the remnant and establish the kingdom centred in Israel with its capital as Jerusalem. In February 2013, the Vatican officially recognized the “State of Palestine” but more significantly, the Vatican signed a treaty in June with “Palestine” in which the Holy See switched its diplomatic relations from the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the “State of Palestine”. This treaty is the first legal document negotiated between the Holy See and the Palestinian state and as such, constitutes an official recognition. The trial and judgment will be on September 20th, 2015. If Pope Francis chooses to ignore the summons, he will be judged in absentia. The Sanhedrin sent a letter to Pope Francis in reaction to the Vatican’s recent support of the Palestinian Authority’s unilateral moves to declare themselves a nation, EVENT The word Sanhedrin is not found it the Authorised version of the Bible – but it is there. It is translated as “council”. Modern version use the word Sanhedrin. It was an assembly of twenty-three to seventy-one men appointed in every city in the Land of Israel and they acted as the Supreme Court. This new Sanhedrin has decided to put Pope Francis on trial for his recent signing of a covenant with the Palestinians which recognises their right to half the land of Israel. In their letter to the Pope they say “We require from you an apology for your recognizing as a nation those who stole the land, those who are known as the Palestinian Authority, and we are informing the Vatican that the God given right to the land of Israel is to the nation of Israel.” They are right. "I am happy that the Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved a great victory by reaching an agreement," President Bashar al-Assad of Syria said in a message to his Iranian opposite number, Hassan Rouhani. "In the name of the Syrian people, I congratulate you and the people of Iran on this historic achievement.” Israel and the Sunni Arab world have set aside old grievances to stand together against the West’s engagement with Iran. Saudi officials have previously voiced fears that increasing rapprochement between Washington and Tehran could eventually lead to Iran supplanting Saudi Arabia as America's main ally in the Persian Gulf. EVENT COMMENT Israel and Saudi Arabia both see Iran as a huge threat. This deal in effect releases billions of dollars that have been locked away due to sanctions. The fear is that Iran could use this enormous war chest of money to further fund its proxy armies in Syria, Lebanon and Gaza. Israel sees the nuclear deal as actually making it more likely that Iran will one day get the bomb. Saudi Arabia sees its close relationship with America being severely undermined as the US has befriended its greatest enemy. The fact the the Assad regime is so delighted by this deal should ring warning bells to the world. What this deal does is bring Israel and Saudi Arabia closer together. It emboldens Iran and its allies - all of whom are enemies of Israel. Finally it weakens American authority in the region. The 3 elements are all detailed out in the scriptures. The plea came days after the US state department issued an equally emotive appeal on behalf of Khirbet Susiya, warning that demolitions and evictions would be "harmful and provocative”. The European intervention - made in a seven-point communique on the stalled Middle East process - will be followed on Wednesday when the Jerusalem envoys of all 28 EU states visit the village for the second time in a month in an effort to intensify the pressure on Israel. EVENT Europe is anti Semitic. They are totally against the Jews living in the land of Israel. It has decided to turn up the pressure on Israel even more. Israeli bank shares fell by nearly 2.5 per cent on Wednesday after the European Council on Foreign Relations argued that the EU must go beyond labelling products from the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, Haaretz has reported. European sanctions against Israeli banks are nothing new, but the new proposals would have a more fundamental impact on banking, loans and mortgages, academic qualifications earned in settlement institutions. "This is one of the largest reservist telephone call-ups we've had in an exercise," an unidentified senior military source told the Jerusalem Post. "We want to ensure that the system is well-oiled and working. This is part of the planned graph of exercises for this year. It is part of our activities linked to working on our readiness. The question is…will Israel one day have to deal with full blown conflict with Gaza, Lebanon and Syria? The Bible says they will. Psalm 83 and Zechariah 12 both say that people’s surrounding Israel will attack Israel. They include the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria. In Zechariah 12 we read of “all the people ROUND ABOUT” in verse 2 and 6. The RSV says “surrounding peoples” the NLT says “nearby nations”. In other words the war in Zechariah 12 involves peoples that are nearby and surround the nation if Israel. Verse 6 says that Jerusalem remains intact and in her place. "Israel would bear the brunt of a US military strike," Obama told 22 American Jewish leaders during a meeting at the White House. The president asserted that if Congress votes against the agreement, the Islamic Republic will back out of it and he will then face pressure from those who oppose the deal to militarily strike Tehran."It would be destructive both to the US and to Israel," Obama warned. "An American military action against Iran's nuclear facilities will not result in Iran deciding to have a full-fledged war with the United States. You'll see Hezbollah rockets falling on Tel Aviv," Obama said. Obama did a deal with Iran on July 14th. But he needs to get congress to approve it. The deadline for this approval is September 17th. If congress don’t approve it then he could veto their decision and push it through anyway. But he would be severely weakened if this happened and he may find it very difficult to do so. To convince congress to back him Obama this week actually threatened war on Iran! He said Iran in turn would attack Israel through its proxy army in Lebanon – Hezbollah. Obama said Hezbollah would rain down rockets on Tel Aviv. Despite these shocking statements Obama appears to be losing the battle. This week two very senior democrats (from Obama’s own party) said they would vote against the Iran deal. The Bible talks specifically about this Iranian deal! In Isaiah 21:2. The excavations, conducted by a team from the Bar-Ilan University headed by Prof. Aren Maeir, are being conducted in the Tel Zafit National Park, located in the Judean Foothills, about halfway between Jerusalem and Ashkelon in central Israel. Prof. Maeir, of the Martin (Szusz) Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology, said that the city gate that was discovered is among the largest ever found in Israel and is evidence of the status and influence of the city of Gath during this period. The city gate of Philistine Gath is referred to in I Samuel 21 in the story of David's escape from King Saul to Achish, King of Gath. EVENT It’s interesting the gate of Gath has been discovered. Gath was a city of the Philistines. It was where Goliath came from. It was David as the shepherd boy who famously killed him with his sling shot. Goliath towered over him at well over 7 feet (some say 9 feet) tall. Goliath became symbolic of sin and David (whom the Lord loved) symbolic of eventual victory over sin. This discovery should remind us of the truth of this fact. In 1 Samuel 21:13 the very gate that has been found is mentioned. King David pretended to be mad at the entrance gate and escaped the king of Gath. We know a time is coming when the Philistines (Palestinians) will rise up again against Israel just as they did in the time of Goliath. Forty-nine years later, following the reunification of Israel, is the Hebrew year 5776, which begins on at nightfall on September 13, 2015. The Jubilee year begins on September 13th 2015 which is the first day of the next Hebrew year. The government is currently struggling to get parliament to approve its natural gas business plan, but observers fear Israel may need to reassess everything now that Egypt, which had been cast as both an export destination and a partner, may have found its own independent solution. Israel's U.N. Ambassador Ron Prosor accused the Palestinians in letters to the United Nations secretary-general and General Assembly president of "attempting to swiftly change longstanding U.N. tradition in order to score political points.” The flags of all 193 U.N. member states fly outside U.N. headquarters in New York and other U.N. offices but not the flags of the two non-member observer states, Palestine and the Vatican. The Palestinians are seeking General Assembly approval of a draft resolution that would allow non-member observer states to raise their flags. Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour told The Associated Press that he would like to see the flags up in time for Pope Francis' visit to the U.N. on September 25, immediately before the summit of world leaders. EVENT It is amazing here how the Palestinian cause is being wrapped up closely with the Vatican. The Vatican City in Rome is technically a state in its own right. It is the smallest internationally recognised independent state in the world. It truly is a “little horn” that “speaks great things”! The Vatican has never applied to the UN for membership but was granted permanent observer status on 6th April 1964. This means the Vatican is the only religion in the world with a seat at the UN! The Pope is to speak at the UN on Sept 25th on World Governance… The Palestinians are asking for their flag and the Vatican flag to be flown outside the UN – effectively recognising both as nations. According to the ministry, the current storm, which began Tuesday, and the one experienced in February of this year have seen the highest concentration of dust particles in the air since the creation of the state in 1948, Channel 10 reported. The storm is expected to continue throughout the weekend and begin dissipating Sunday. A sharp rise in temperature on Wednesday added to the already difficult weather conditions, and forecasters on Thursday predicted that the dust, heatwave and high humidity would only taper off Saturday evening. EVENT COMMENT On Tuesday, air pollution in Jerusalem was 173 times higher than average; in the Negev, 51 times higher than average; and in the Galilee, 32 times higher than average. This is how one person reported what it was like….Yesterday, in Eretz Yisrael, we all woke up to a strange orange cast to the light in our rooms. I couldn’t believe my eyes, when I pulled back the curtain and looked outside. A sandstorm had drifted in and settled over us. I hoped it wouldn’t last more than 24 hours, but it was still here this morning. The air doesn’t move and it’s dry and hot like an oven and stings a bit on exposed skin. I went into Jerusalem today for my last-minute holiday shopping and my heart just sank at the listless look of all the trees standing still and erect and covered in a grey coat of dirt. Israel strongly objected to the proposal and joined seven other countries, including the United States, in voting "no"; 119 nations voted "yes" and 45 abstained. The resolution allows non-member observer states to raise their flags alongside those of the 193 U.N. member states. The Palestinians and the Vatican are the only two observers, but the Holy See has backed away from the effort, saying it will not raise its flag before Pope Francis visits the U.N. later this month. Tzachi Hanegbi, chairman of Parliament's foreign affairs and defence committee which made the decision in a "special discussion," said the additional forces "will help in returning order quickly" to Jerusalem. Several policemen were wounded Friday in Jerusalem when Palestinians attacked them with firebombs and rocks, and three were taken to a hospital, authorities said. Emergency services said one officer was shot in the arm. The attack happened near the area where an Israeli man died this week after Palestinians pelted his car with rocks. About a dozen Israelis have been wounded in the violence over the past week. Temple Mount in Jerusalem is ground zero of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Known to the Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary it is Islam’s third most holy site. It is the holiest place for Jews – it is where the first and second temples once stood. Jews are explicitly forbidden to pray there however. Since the Jewish new year began on Sunday last week violence has been raging on and around the site. Growing numbers of religious Jews are paying visits to the site, feeding longstanding fears among Muslims that they intend to take over the area and build a new biblical temple, despite Israel's repeated insistence that no such plans are in the works. There have been two times that Jerusalem has been destroyed – once in 586BC and once in AD70. We are told there is to be a third destruction. When the third one happens the royal crown will be given to he whose right it is. Jesus Christ. The epicentre of God’s plan is the Temple in Jerusalem. It becomes the epicentre for WW3. Nikolay Mladenov urged all parties to refrain from "provocative actions and rhetoric" and called on political, community and religious leaders to ensure that visitors and worshippers "demonstrate restraint and respect for the sanctity of the area.” He told the U.N. Security Council by video link Tuesday that the clashes followed "sweeping restrictions" that Israel imposed on entry to Jerusalem's most sensitive holy site, the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, on August 26. Since then, he said, Israel has banned members of Muslim and Jewish groups considered to be extremist. EVENT The violence around Temple Mount has caused the UN to make a statement calling on Israel to allow access to all Muslims. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said the latest escalation at holy sites in Jerusalem and other violence, including the stone-throwing incident that led to the death of an Israeli man, "once again underscored the importance of reaching a final status agreement through negotiations on all issues, including arrangements for the holy sites that are acceptable to all.” King Abdullah of Jordan was quick to condemn the violence on the mount. Israel allows the monarchy to act as custodian of the Muslim holy sites; Abdullah temporarily recalled his ambassador from Tel Aviv in protest after the closure last year. If the “provocations” continue, he warned on Monday, “Jordan will have no choice but to take action, unfortunately.” We know that all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. The whole land will look like a grainfield after the harvesters have gathered the grain. • Netanyahu meets Putin to discuss concerns over Russian activity Syria Guardian, September 21, 2015 Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, has met the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, to discuss security concerns along Israel’s northern border and how to avoid accidental clashes between Israel and Russian forces supporting Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria. Netanyahu’s lightning visit to Moscow on Monday follows concern in Israel that the ongoing Russian military buildup will threaten its defence, through fears that Russian-supplied weapons will end up in the hands of Hezbollah, fighting in Syria on Assad’s side, and because it will make it more difficult for Israeli aircraft to strike there. In an unusual move, Netanyahu was accompanied by his defence chief of staff, Lt Gen Gadi Eizenkot, and the head of military intelligence, Maj Gen Herzl Halevi, whose presence – according to Israeli analysts and media – underlined the seriousness of the discussions. EVENT Israel is very concerned about developments in Syria – especially this new intervention by Russia. Hence Netanyahu’s flying visit to meet Putin with his most senior Israeli military officials. Russia is building a new airbase in Syria for its jets. But interestingly Israel has struck very close to this site on two previous occasions. Once in 2013 and once in 2014. Israel wants the ability to continue to be able to strike Syria if it needs to. But now Russia stands in the way! In recent months Israel has struck weapons supply facilities for Hezbollah and convoys, as well as personnel directing what it says has been a Hezbollah buildup close to Israel’s northern border. No wonder Israel is concerned about Russian movements. As mentioned already, there is a terrible destruction coming in Syria. It actually sees Israel greatly weakened at the same time. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. • Abbas Says Palestinians No Longer Bound by Pacts With Israel Associated Press, September 30, 2015 Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared before world leaders Wednesday that he is no longer bound by agreements signed with Israel and called on the United Nations to provide international protection for Palestinians, in the most serious warning yet that he might walk away from engagement with the Jewish state.
"It is no longer useful to waste time in negotiations for the sake of negotiations; what is required is to mobilize international efforts to oversee an end to the occupation in line with the resolutions of international legitimacy," he said. "Until then, I call upon the United Nations to provide international protection for the Palestinian people in accordance with international humanitarian law.” In a symbolic moment Wednesday, Abbas raised the flag of Palestine at the United Nations for the first time, with a promise that it will be raised soon in Jerusalem, "the capital of our Palestinian state." EVENT No one quite knows what Abbas means when he says he is no longer bound by agreements made with Israel. He has not spelled out the implications. What is clear is that something is about to change. If Abbas were to go through with his demand that Israel assume responsibility for the Palestinians, as the occupying power in the territories, this would require dissolving the Palestinian Authority and the Abbas' resignation. He would then call on protection from the UN to help the Palestinian people being “occupied by another power” as he would put it. The UN flew the Palestinian flag for the first time indicating they accept the Palestinians as a nation. Abbas said that he wants this same flag flying over Jerusalem the capital of the new state. This is stage 1 of the war. • Netanyahu bans MPs from al-Aqsa compound Daily Telegraph, October 8, 2015 Benjamin Netanyahu has banned MPs and cabinet ministers from going near al-Aqsa mosque as six Israelis were injured in stabbing attacks across the country on Thursday. The Israeli prime minister was criticised by members of his own coalition for the ban on access to the volatile Jerusalem compound which initially applied to all parliamentarians except for those who were Arab-Israelis. But following outraged reactions from hard-liners within his own governing coalition, Mr Netanyahu announced that all Knesset members would be barred from the site without exception. The Jerusalem hilltop compound lies at the heart of recent tensions, known as al-Aqsa Mosque to Muslims and Temple Mount to Jews. It has increasingly become the site of brutal clashes between Israelis and Palestinians. Many Palestinians believe Israel is trying to expand the Jewish presence at the site, a claim Israel adamantly denies. Under a longstanding arrangement administered by Islamic authorities, Jews are allowed to visit the site during certain hours but not pray there. EVENT he With the world’s focus on Syria perhaps the increasing crisis in Israel is going unreported and unnoticed. For weeks now the tensions have escalated between Israel and the Palestinians that live within Israel. It’s the Temple Mount site that is the centre of the problems. To try to alleviate this issue Prime Minister Netanyahu banned Jewish Cabinet ministers from visiting the site. But then there was uproar from Jews who asked why were they being banned. So Netanyahu then banned all cabinet ministers including Arab ones. They in turn have said they will ignore the ban and go on Sunday. With Bible in hand we know that at the same time Syria goes up in flames Israel will also be drawn into a war with its immediate enemies. The stage is being set for this. In one of the bloodiest days since last year's Gaza war, a fresh wave of stabbings also hit Israel and the West Bank, including a revenge attack by a Jewish suspect that wounded two Palestinians and two Arab Israelis. Ismail Hanniyeh, the Gaza-based leader of Hamas, declared a new uprising after Friday prayers and urged his followers to ramp up attacks. “We are calling for the strengthening and increasing of the intifada… It is the only path that will lead to liberation,” Mr Haniyeh said, speaking at a mosque in Gaza City. In the wake of Mr Haniyeh’s address, at least six Palestinians from Gaza were killed and more than 60 injured by the Israeli Defence Forces after they approached the border fence with Israel. EVENT Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians have recently soared amid a rash of attacks and confrontations between Palestinians and troops. Since last weekend, gun and knife attacks by Palestinians have left four Israelis dead and many wounded, while at least three Palestinians have been killed during clashes with security forces in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Friday's attacks follow a sharp rise in violence between Israelis and Palestinians since late last month, when clashes erupted at the Temple Mount site in East Jerusalem. We know that ultimately the final conflict, Armageddon, is going to be over Jerusalem. It will be over who controls the city. The centre of the city is Temple Mount. Notice 3 overturns (destructions) of Jerusalem – then Christ is given the crown. • Israel: clashes continue as diplomats push for peace Daily Telegraph, October 23, 2015 EVENT Stone-throwing Palestinians clashed with Israeli soldiers in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and in the Gaza Strip during "Day of Rage" protests on Friday while diplomats tried to end more than three weeks of bloodshed. John Kerry, US secretary of state, said he was cautiously optimistic there was a way to defuse tensions after holding four hours of talks with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, in Berlin on Thursday. Police said Friday prayers there ended quietly. But in the West Bank and Gaza, Palestinian medical officials said 45 people were wounded by gunfire, including a 13-year-old critically injured near Ramallah and three photographers near the Gaza border. Earlier, a 16-year-old Palestinian stabbed and wounded an Israeli soldier in the West Bank, before being shot and wounded by other troops, the Israeli military said. COMMENT It’s been years since we have seen such violence in the streets of Israel. More than 50 Palestinians, half of them assailants, have been shot dead by Israelis at the scene of attacks or during protests in the West Bank and Gaza since October 1. Nine Israelis have been stabbed or shot dead by Palestinians. So why the violence now? The main reason the Palestinians give is that Israel (they say) is planning to change the status of Temple Mount. Non Muslims are actually banned from praying on Temple Mount and Israel still recognises this. The peace quartet met in Vienna this week to discuss this and in a statement afterwards they called on Israel "to work together with Jordan to uphold the status quo at the holy sites in Jerusalem in both word and practice". The Bible speaks of Jerusalem becoming the centre of worldwide conflict. There have been two previous complete destructions of Jerusalem. 586BC and AD70.
