  5. PET scan • Positron Emission Tomography • Procedure: Measuring functional activity • Cost: $1,000-2,500 • Purpose • Abnormalities

  6. EEG • Electroencephalography • Possible Uses • Procedure • Cost: $50-100

  7. MRI • Magnetic Resonance Imaging • Procedure • Purpose • Cost: $1300-2800

  8. MRI Advantages • 1. Doesn’t produce ionizing radiation • 2. Greater tissue difference • 3. No confusing bone artifacts • 4. Natural contrast
