  1. Native Americans NEZ PERCE Northwest Coastal Alaska Pacific Ocean Coast of Northern California. This land had small islands, in many places and forests of spruce, cedar, and fir.

  2. Shelter Most villages consisted of large rectangular houses called longhouses. Each housed 30 to 40 people. They were made by covering large beams of bark from a tree with planked sides like a gabled house. Tepees were made of Buffalos skin and they painted pictures on them.

  3. Clothing • Clothes like robes and mocassins were made out of bison skin. • Headdresses were made out of feathers porcupine quills, and elk teeth.

  4. FOOD Lots of fish (salmon) during the summer Fed themselves for the whole winter Mountain goat Elk
