  2. What Do You mean by “dumb”? • Lacking intelligence and good Judgment • Ignorance • lack of willingness to learn rather than the inability to learn

  3. Advancements in technology increases the availability of knowledge, yet tests scores are lower and teens are even less knowledgeable • “They have all these privileges and there is no difference between them and the generatiion before.” ( John J. Miller)

  4. Statistics • When US History exams were given half of 12th grades scored below basic • Fifty two percent though that Germany, Italy, and Japan were US allies in WW2 (Wetzstein)

THE EFFECT OF Technology • Instead of using technology to learn teens instead are more interested in social networking sites and video games. • The more time teens spend with games and technology the more they suppress key areas of the frontal lobe connected the memory, emotion, and impulse.   9. Results • Teens who are less prepared for college • Yong people who are ignorant and overall self absorbed • Lack of discipline
