  2. What is a synopsis? • A short exercise - 2 pages per person • It is not an essay! • It is not going to be evaluated! (It is the base for the oral exam) • It is your responsability to find a topic and research on it (even though I will be here to help)

  3. But, how? • A synopsis focuses on a problem • I poses an interesting/relevant question • It suggests a debate • It prepares the conclusion that you will present in the oral exam • How? • Articulate the problem • Overview the literature • Find your voice and your thoughts

  4. Many are the ways ... • The style may relate to the topic • You can use mods, illustrations, level designs, even french philosophy • A good structure is: • Problem • Question • Discussion • Solving the problem

  5. The Exam • Three folded: synopsis, presentation, discussion • Be dramatic: a good, engaging oral presentation always works! • Work on the topics you love: an engaged student is a good student

  6. A little bit more on the Exam • The Exam will take place June 13-14th, and will be oral • Deliver the synopsis not later than the 29th of April to the Exams office • Exams can be taken individually or in groupsof no more than three (3)
