Minecraft Global

1. Minecraft Global The following pictures are of my Minecraft world that I have been working on over the past month or so in a competition with my friends. I created this name because the world that I created has a little of everything in it just like the world or globe. I think that this demonstrates my skills in digital design because of the creativity it took to create this world.

2. My Process Of Building • In order to create my Minecraft world, I started by constructing the island of spawning. I went around to each part of the world and built in that area what I could plus the required buildings. To build a building, I would start on the edge of the mountain and work my way out building the structure layer by layer until it was complete. When I was done with a building, I would go back inside and furnish that building then move onto the next. To build things in water, I would build a platform and then build what ever it is I wanted to build on top of it. When I was done, I would flood the platform to make it look like it is floating. 3. The island of spawning • In our competition, every person had to have an island of spawning were the player would start out in the game and on this section, my “floating tree island” won. I built this island with trees because I thought that the place where the player enters the world is the most important because it tells what the rest of the world will be like.

5. The Village • In the competition, everybody also had to have a village for the villagers in the game and some place for the villagers to be entertained. That is why I built this mountain village and entertainment center. My entertainment center was built around a water park, shopping center, movie theater, and, restaurant.

10. The Creators House • The last thing that had to be built in our competition was a house for the creator of the world. Out of all the houses that my friends had made, my house won. I built my house inside of a natural bridge for a feeling of peace and for decoration.

13. Free For All • In the end, everybody had to build 5 things of our own that could be anything we wanted so I built a lighthouse that consisted of over 40,000 blocks, a football field from the old stadium at our school, a train station that was fully automated, a cruise ship that was behind my castle, and the tree of peace. The pictures on the next slide’s are in that order.

19. Overall Placement • At a grand total of over 2 million blocks, my Minecraft world that I created placed first and later after that, I posted it to a website so anybody who wanted to could open the world and play in it.
