  4. When runoff flows in a thin layer over land , it may cause a type of erosion called sheet erosion. Sheet erosion is the detachment of soil particles by impact and their removal downslope by water flowing over as a sheet instead of indefinite channels or rills

  5. The first factor is the amount of rain an area receives. A second factor is the vegetation. A third factor is the type of soil. A fourth factor is the simple of the land. A fifth factor is how people use the land.
