  2. BLAISE PASCAL

  3. Blaise Pascal was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Catholic philosopher. He was a child prodigy who was educated by his father.

  4. HIS FIRST INVENTION In 1642, he started some pioneering work on calculating machines, and after three years he invented the mechanical calculator (called the Pascaline).

  5. GEOMETRY At the age of 16 he formulated one of the basic theorems of projective geometry, known as Pascal's theorem.

  6. OTHER INVESTIGATIONS He also investigated on the fluids, and about concepts such as pressure and vacuum.

  7. THE TRIANGLE OF PASCAL Pascal's triangle begins in the number "1" focused on the top, then write a series of numbers in the boxes diagonally downward, on both sides. Then, add pairs of numbers placed horizontally (1 + 1), and the result (2) is written below these boxes

  8. PASCAL’S WAGER Is a discussion on the belief in the existence of God, based on the existence of God is a matter of chance. The contention is that, although we don’t know if God exists, we must believe that it exists.

  9. BIRTH AND DEATH Pascal was born in France in 1623 and three years later his mother died. In 1662 Pascal died because he had an illness.
