  1. NAVE VLORA La Vlora fu una nave mercantile costruita agli inizi degli anni ‘60 a nei pressi di Ancona. Il 7 agosto 1991, di ritorno da Cuba carica di zucchero la Vlora venne assalita da una folla di circa 20.000 migranti albanesi senza permesso che costrinsero il comandante a salpare per l'Italia, attraccando al porto di Bari l'8 agosto 1991. Questa vicenda è ricordata come uno dei tanti episodi di emigrazione avvenuti in Italia negli anni ’90, e ancora oggi è il più grande sbarco di clandestini avvenuto in Italia.
