  5. 4 / Rules Changes • Penalties in all events = 0.5 (instead of 0.2) • Entrance/exit for Showtwirl Corps = up to 1 minute(instead of 2 minutes) • Only Single Illusion withbaton/prop , spin(s) before or after are not permitted • Time/lenghtwithoutbaton/propthatcangive penalties= maximum of 16 counts (instead of 10 seconds) • EuropeanLevel 1 for Solos and Duets in Majorette events for 2019 • Weask for feedback regarding the teams (for 2019 or 2020) onlywhen use of the baton (not for the Pompoms) • Parade Corps: need to be in line with the WFNBTA rules. It willbeupdated in the rulebook for 2019. Clarification to follow the rulesworldwide. • Restrictions : Tatoosneed to becovered • Showtwirlevents : The story or theme of the routine should be displayed in respectful and tasteful manner, it should also be suitable for the age range of the audience (choice of music) • Props regulations (see 5)

  6. 5 / Rules for accessories • For all Showtwirl categories the use of  hazardous or pyrotechnics  props is strictly prohibited along with any product or equipment that has the ability to set off fire alarms or compromise the health and safety of anyone in attendance to the competition. • Size : 2.5 meters maximum high and 3 meters maximum in length ( during the entire production)

EXHIBITION MAJORETTE CORPS • 18.1 Age category • Juvenile, Junior and Senior . • 18.2 Number in corps • Minimum of 10 majorette members • 18.3 Salute • Salute is not obligate • 18.4 Performance Area • Total floor area • 18.5 Music • Personal choice on CD or USB stick. • Only one music must be reproduced on the support. • No music for entry and exit • 18.6 Time • 2.00-3.00 minutes • 18.7 Costume • Traditional Majorette style. • No bare midriff permitted • 18.8 Acrobatics • Acrobatics and mounts are not permitted

  9. 18.9 Production • A corps performing a routine with marching and changing formations, with timing , perfection and precision . • The choreography should be a mix of various style of marching and dancing with the emphasis being on the marching drill. • Exhibition Majorette Corps choreography should display foundations of twirling and excellence of basic twirling concepts • All members have to use one baton . • More than two batons work is not allowed. • Changing of formations and unison is required during the entire routine. • Exchanges are permitted • No floor movements are permitted with exceptions of opening and final position • No props permitted • Maximum of 2 spins permitted • Illusions not permitted • 18.10 Marking over 100 points • Marching 20 points • Formation and Manouvering 20 points • Twirling and Body movements 20 points • General Effects 20 points • Showmanship, Presentation 20 points

TRADITIONAL POMPOMS CORPS • 23.1 Age category • Juvenile, Junior and Senior • . • 23.2 Number in Corps • Minimum of 10 members • 23.3 Performance Area • Total floor area • 23.4 Music • Style of recorded music is free. CD or USB stick or as required by the hosting country. • No music for entry and exit. • 23.5 Time • 2.00 to 3.00 minutes • 23.6 Costume • Majorette style outfit. No bare midriff permitted • 23.7 Acrobatics • Acrobatics and mounts are not permitted …./….

  12. 23.8 Production • A corps performing a routine with marching combined with the use of Pompoms and choreographed to the music. The choreography should include special effects, manoeuvres and teamwork in line with the music. • Changing of formations is encouraged. • Standing/stationary should be limited to waves and general effects and must not exceed 16 counts. • All members have to use one pair of Pompoms. All Pompoms should be the same size and type. No props or accessories are allowed. • Exchanges and passes are not permitted. • Tossing of Pompoms to another team member or to oneself is not permitted. • Grounding is not permitted with exceptions of opening and final position ( maximum of 16 counts). • Illusions and gymnastic moves are not permitted. • 23.9 Marking over 100 points • Marching and Manoeuvering 20 points • Teamwork 20 points • Production- General effect 20 points • Execution – Special effects 20 points • Appearance-Showmanship-Presentation 20 points

BATONFLAG TEAM • 18.1 Age category • Juvenile, Junior and Senior • . • 18.2 Number in Team • 6 to 8 majorette members • 18.3 Performance Area • Total floor area • 18.4 Music • Style of recorded music is free. CD or USB stick or as required by the hosting country. • No music for entry and exit. • 18.5 Time • 2.00 to 3.00 minutes • 18.6 Costume • Majorette style outfit. No bare midriff permitted • 18.7 Equipment • Flag is one piece of material attached to a flagpole baton ( a special baton) and used as a flag or two ended batonflag (double flag baton) • Swivels on the baton are recommended. Material on chains, ropes or clothing are not permitted • The length of one-ended is maximum 75 cm long, length of two ended batonflag is not limited , length of flag- material on batonflag can be 65-75 cm long • No other equipment is allowed in the FLAG competition program …./….

  16. 18.8 Acrobatics • Acrobatics and mounts are not permitted • 18.9 Production • A team performing a routine with marching, and dancing combined with twirling batonflag and choreographed to the music. The choreography should display foundations of twirling and excellence of basic twirling concepts • One batonflag per member is required . • Changing of formations is encouraged • Exchanges are permitted. • No floor movements are permitted with exceptions of opening and final position ( maximum of 16 counts) • Batonflag must not be put on the floor. • The competitors have to finish the choreography by holding the equipment . • Maximum of 2 spins permitted.   19. d ) Showtwirl Solo • 21. MAJORETTE SHOWTWIRL SOLO • Description • A solo dance routine with baton and props choreographed to personal choice of music. Main focus to be combination of dance and baton movements that are correlated to the musical phrases, tempo and rhythm. The routine must be presented with proper technique and appropriate performance qualities. The simultaneous blending of body and baton will be demonstrated while displaying a wide range of skills. Credit will be given for props used in an appropriate manor to which they are intended, highlighting the story or theme of the routine. The story or theme of the routine should be displayed in respectful and tasteful manner, it should also be suitable for the age range of the audience. • 21.1 Age Category • Juvenile, Preteen, Junior and Senior • 21.5 Time • 1.30 - 2.00 minutes for Juvenile and Preteen • 2.00 – 2.30 minutes for Junior and Senior • 21.8 Production • The props are to be used to complement the routine and to show the theme in a manor to which they are intended. • Baton plus a minimum of two props is obligatory. • The competitor has to use a prop or baton during the whole time of the routine. Exception: Competitor can be without prop or baton for a short time (maximum period of 16 counts) when changing from one piece of equipment to another. • Only one clear full single illusion with the use of baton/props is allowed ; spin(s) before or after the illusion is not permitted. • 21.9 Marking over 100 points • Choreography 20 points • Twirl Content 20 points • Twirl Technique 20 points • Dance Technique 20 points • Showmanship, Presentation 20 points

Credit will be given for props used in an appropriate manor to which they are intended, highlighting the story or theme of the routine. The story or theme of the routine should be displayed in respectful and tasteful manner, it should also be suitable for the age range of the audience. • 19.1 Age Category • Juvenile, Junior, Senior • 19.5 Time • 3.00 to 4.00 minutes • 19.8 Production • The props are to be used to complement the routine and to show the theme in a manor to which they are intended. • Baton plus a minimum of two props is obligatory. • Each competitor has to use a prop or baton during the whole time of the routine. Exception: Member(s) can be without prop or baton for a short while (maximum period of 16 counts) when changing from one piece of equipment to another. • A maximum of 1.00 min. is given to the corps to install and remove the props and batons ( Entrance/Exit) •  Only one clear full single illusion with the use of baton/props is allowed ; spin(s) before or after the illusion is not permitted. • 19.10 Marking over 100 points • Choreography 20 points • Twirl Content 20 points • Twirl Technique 20 points • Dance Technique 20 points • Showmanship, Presentation 20 points
