  1. Letter writing was an area of study that was created as a response to the demand for social communication as religious and political leaders increased. Letter writing helped with the rise of Christianity due to Saint Paul’s epistles which made up several books of the Bible. During the Renaissance, rhetoric developed into study of how to write. Humanist used techniques for working on text for the New Testament. ArsDictamen took guidelines from Cicero’s works . Letter writing was used to assist the oral exposition of Biblical text. It was served to discover the truth because it provided the means of ordering and clarifying arguments. St. Paul letter’s served as an influence to ars dictamen; letter writing • They helped: • Interact with the community. • With theological issues, giving advice and understanding. • Settled tension and disputes.
