Do you remember? • a lot of comment post to sig-policy ML from Izumi-san Subject: Re: [sig-policy] Inter-registry transfers (was:thoughts on prop-068) Subject: Re: [sig-policy] general opinions about the transfer proposal(s) Subject: Re: [sig-policy] Requests from routing/packeting concerns There are opinion, concern and comments from Japanese Community!! How can we post a lot of opinion? Result get could by our challenges. 5

  6. Motivation • When transfer proposal posted • We think this proposal • provide very important changes to history of IP management. • had serious effect on Japanese Community. We must post opinion and comment. We propose other perspective if necessary. 6

Our Challenges • We(JPNIC and Policy-WG) want comment and opinion from JP-Community for transfer proposal more and more. • Discussed for solve this issue. • “How can we provide information for transfer proposal to community?” • “What kind of method for get comment from community we have?” We want held two events done before next APOPM. 7

  8. JPOPM Showcase 2 Date: 21st January 2009 the day before JANOG23 Meeting Place: Kochi, Japan same place as JANOG23 Meeting about 50 peoples 8

  9. JPOPM Showcase 2 • activity for • outreach to stakeholders • introduce policy development process • discussion for specific topic • transfer proposal discussion by operator perspective. 9

  10. Special JPOPM Date: 10th Feburary 2009 Place: Tokyo, Japan about 60 peoples(onsite) and many people attend by online(streaming and chat). 10

Special JPOPM • provide information about proposal document what propose to next APOPM. • get comment and concern • for 30 minutes. • collect opinion for transfer proposal • opinion for each proposal • [prop-050] IPv4 address transfers • [prop-067] A simple transfer proposal • [prop-068] Inter-RIR transfer policy • for 3 hours(take two breaks) 11

Result • We got a lot of opinion and comments from JP-Community. • Izumi-san can translate and post to sig-policy ML. • Some comment to our opinion from sig-policy then feedback to ML in Japanese. • discussion continues now • We can bring comments to meeting(Policy-SIG) • see you policy-sig on tomorrow :-) 12
