  1. How can we balance privacy vs. security? We will explore this question throughout this unit, beginning with our class discussion today.

  2. 4 Corners Activity. • Read the question. • You have 1 minute to quietly to take a stance and come up with reasons why you feel this way. • 1. Totally OK. 2. I wouldn’t mind. 3. I do mind. 4. No way. • Then take a stance by moving to the correct corner in the room. • 1. Totally OK. 2. I wouldn’t mind. 3. I do mind. 4. No way.

  3. Discussion. • Discuss the question with those who share your stance. • After 3 minutes, I will choose one spokesperson from each corner. • Each spokesperson will come to the center and give the main reasons why they took that stance. • If the debate continues, he/she must call on someone from their corner to give supporting evidence for that corner.

  4. Question #1. I would be OK with random searches of my personal possessions, to ensure my safety. • Totally OK. 2. I wouldn’t mind. 3. I do mind. 4.
