Project goals • promoting the participation of SMEs in IPs and NoEs to make sure that SMEs will participate in the action spurred by FP6 to foster research and technological innovation in Europe • Focusing attention on projects referring to micro- and nanotechnologies in the most important industrial sectors • ICT • Transportation • Health Care • Aerospace • Environment

Project objectives • Assessing situation and perspectives in the countries participating in the project with respect to micro- and nanotechnologies and the five sectors of application selected to pin point SMEs, research structures and facilities, technological incubators, large enterprises etc. • Identifying the SMEs that, with reference to the above sector, are most active and qualified. Assessment of their needs and plans. • Identification IPs and NoE that can fit with needs and plans of SMEs. • Establishing contacts, promote co-operations, identify researchfacilities and industrial incubators that could be instrumental for thecreation of national and trans-national networks, make evident synergies between projects. • Assisting the SMEs to join the above said projects assuring thequality level of this participation.

  4. Services to R&D players Assistance to Research Consortia NAoMITEC supports research consortia, currently involved or in preparation of IP and NoE in finding relevant SMEs Partners to carry out specific tasks. (Tasks include research, technological development and demonstration activities, activities for the management, technology transfer and use of knowledge in order to promote innovation). SME profile Profiles of SMEs interested in participating integrated projects and Networks of Excellence are available on the website. Consortia, universities, research centres and large companies can select the most suitable company and contact the nearest NAoMITEC partner for further information

  5. Services to SMEs Technology Audit Companies interested in participating in European R&D projects can have their needs and capabilities assessed with a technology audits. At the end of the audit with the NAoMITEc partner, companies will receive information to help them choose the most suitable project for them to join. Assistance to SMEs Following the technology audit and the identification of the most suitable Integrated Project and Network of Excellence, NAoMITEC Partners assist companies in establishing contacts with project coordinators and in submitting proposals. Integrated Projects and Networks of Excellence A list of the most interesting IPs and NoEs abstracts will be available at project website. From this, Companies can select the project or the proposal that is most relevant to them and find contact deteils of the nearest NAoMITEC Partner for further information.

  6. IP and NoE database Consortium has a list of IP`s, IP`s for SMEs and NoE`s that are currently being prepared. Below extract from the list.

  7. SME database Database can be accessed at:http://www.airi.it/naomi/index.php . Companies can be selected by country or type of RTD.

  8. SME profile After reading the profile, you can contact SME by clicking „For more information” link, which will redirect you to the suitable NaoMitec project partner. From him you will receive more information about SME sought.
