  2. Exercise1 • What words come to mind when you hear the word, ‘natural’? What does it mean to you? • Do you have strong memories connected with smell? What kind of smells do you find attractive? What kinds of smells repulse you? Is it possible to educate your sense of smell? Explain. • Which smells do you like to use in personal hygiene products, e.g. toothpaste, shampoo, soap, mouthwash, etc. What kinds of herbs do you like to use from the garden? Do you use any in the home i.e. decoration, kitchen or closets e.g. lavender, thyme, basil, rosemary, dill, mint, etc. What are there Czech names? • What are your buying habits when it comes to purchasing personal care products? Do you insist on buying products that are labelled organic or do you use other criteria for selection? What would make you more interested in purchasing organic products? BEFORE YOU WATCH

  6. Exercise 5 GROUP DISCUSSION • What does being health conscious mean to you? Are you health conscious? Give examples supporting both the positive and the negative viewpoints. • What is beauty? What is natural beauty in a man or a woman? How do you respond to a naturally beautiful person? Can beauty be a quality that is not based on appearance? • Have you ever been to a cosmetics salon? If not, what would make you go there? What is your opinion about them? Do you enjoy using beauty-enhancing products? Is there a psychological factor involved in the use of the product? Is there a difference for you in using a product that is organic or natural over other similar products that are non-organic? Are there other reasons to buy organic? • How much time do you spend each week using and watching media where you see images of popular or famous people in media or the news? Do you agree that people are obsessed with their appearance nowadays? Deliberate on the pros and cons of other forms of beauty enhancements.
