  2. Notes are made from paper and cotton. That is why you can wash them and they won't fall apart!

  3. Coins are made from copper, zinc, manganese and nickel. That is why coins are so hard and they cannot rust!

  4. Our notes show the BIG 5: 10 200 20 50 100

  5. Our coins show animals and plants that can only be found in South Africa: The Springbok is our national animal.

  6. The Protea is our national flower. The Blue Crane is our national bird.

  7. All the new coins have our Coat of Arms on the back.
