When we think and plan to move, it give us goose bumps. All the excitement of shifting to a new place lowered down. We generally hire movers when we plan to move. There are some moving tips which we should know for stress free move.
1. When to start planning move ? If you know have confirmation that you need to move from the current place, then plan for the move as early as possible. As time approaches near you will not be able to think about the work. This will reduce the stress which comes in human mind at the time of deadline.
How to start ? Ensure you must have packing supplies that needs during packing process. Please make sure that you have these in sufficient amount, as when you will start packing you need not to run for the same thing. You need lots of packing tapes and some extra boxes, blade, scissors. Make sure all this things you should have, as at the day of packing you need not to run at the store.
Quantity of Boxes and their Size The no. of boxes is directly proportional to the quantity of the items you are planning to move in new house. You can also use your bags and suitcase for packing few items. So it will reduce the cost of extra box. Size of the box may depend on your items. Well big box can carry more items and may reduce the quantity of your boxes. But remember they could be more heavier to carry.
From where do I start ? Always start from a room at a time, and while packing write the name of item packed in the box on the wall of box with a marker, so that it might be easy for you to search for a specific thing. Sort the things room by room so that I will be easier to distinguish between the items which are packed and left.
Packing major appliances If there are major or big appliances then disassemble it. Thus it might be easy for you to pack those small-small parts as compared to pack a single big item. Be careful while disassembling, as you have to assemble every single piece again in order to make you appliances in working condition.
How to pack delicate items ? Make sure you apply enough padding while delicate items, so that it can resist some jerks and shocks in order to protect it. Padding can be done by any soft thing, like cloth. You may use the cloths which you wear in home. So it will protect your delicate items as well as also pack some of your cloths.
