This will be achieved through proper consideration of employment legislation, best practice, modernisation and other drivers for change. Agree common process for determining the ‘operational’ Grey Book element of organisation February 2005 Complete regional policy, on job sizing/evaluation process April 2005 Agree regional policy aligned to ODPM strategy for Control Room recruitment and retention Finalise regional policy on DDA relating to employment and OH June 2005 September 2005 Complete regional job sizing process Issue regional action plan to reduce sickness absence and establish system to monitor progress Complete regional review of OH standards and services and finalise united policy December 2005 Options for revisions to working patterns and duty systems will be issued to each FRS to consider in accordance with individual IRMPs April 2005 Finalise regional process and selection criteria for recruitment of firefighters June 2005 Revised pay structure implemented October 2005 Resourcing including regionalisation or Control Rooms Working patterns/duty systems Occupational Health and Welfare Organisation structure and job sizing Laj/HR/EmployeeResourcing 10 January 2005
