  2. Which factors would you consider when purchasing this item? Seasonality: If apples are not in season, it is probably cheaper to purchase a fruit that is in season. Unit price: Apples are usually sold per pound. Some types are cheaper than others. Apples are also sometimes sold in bags. Depending on sales it may be cheaper to buy it in another form. Unit price: A different brand or size may be cheaper per ounce. Also, frozen or fresh corn may have a lower unit price. Generic vs. brand name: A generic brand will likely cost less. Nutrition: Canned corn is probably loaded in salt. Look for labels that say “No Salt Added” or remember to rinse the corn.
