Measures • Toronto Empathy Questionnaire (Spreng, McKinnon, Mar & Levine, 2009). • 16 items: 8 positively worded (empathy) vs. 8 negatively worded (empathy deficit) • Alpha: Empathy scale: .68 and Empathy deficit scale: .71 • Self-Compassion Scale (short-form)(Raes, Pommier, Neff, Van Gucht, 2011) • 16 items: 8 positvely worded (self-kindness) vs 8 negatively worded (self-coldness) • Alpha: Self-kindness scale: .51 and Self-coldness:.59 • Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (Goodman, 1997) • 20 items: emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity/inattention, peer problems • Alpha: .72 • Perceived Stress Scale(Cohen & Williamson, 1988) • 6 negatively worded • Alpha: . 64 • Life Satisfaction Scale (Diener, Emmons, Larsen & Griffin, 1985) • 5 positively worded • Alpha: .66
