  2. Mission • The mission of Campus High School is to prepare students to be life-long learners and responsible, contributing citizens in a changing world.

  3. Our Vision for Campus High School • Graduation rate of 90% by 2009. • Meet AYP in reading, writing and math. • Provide a safe, nurturing environment for our students.

  4. Reading Interventions • Students will infer word meanings by the use of relationships such as analogies, similes and metaphors.

  5. Reading • Standard of Excellence!!!!! 2006

  6. ….. Other interventions • ACCESS team. • Seminar remediation for students not at grade level. • White Fridays. • Increased enrollment in Honors and A.P. courses. • MAPS testing.

  7. Math Interventions • Students will develop and implement math skills unique to their classes on a regular basis.

  8. …. Other Math interventions. • Enrollment of students in higher level courses. • ACCESS team. • Willingness of some of our best teachers to teach the lower level students. • Focus on 8-10 essentials. • MAPS testing. • Seminar remediation for students not at grade level.

  9. Math – made AYP through safe harbor. What does that mean? • If a school meets all measures of quality. (graduation rate, attendance rate and participation rate). • …… and percentage of students not proficient decreases at least 10% from previous year….. then • We make AYP!!!!
