  2. EDUCATION AND RESEARCH AREA The Faculty provides education and performs research in the fields ofCivil Engineering andTraffic Engineering. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING The Faculty (Transportation group) conducts international, national and regional scientific and R & D projects, carries out studies and provides expert opinions for different institutions and organisations, enterprises and/or other clients.

RESEARCH FIELD • The research is focused in the following research fields: • Transport policy, • Transportation economics, • Transportation planning, • (public passenger transport,multimodal transport planning), • Logistics, transportation technology, • Traffic technique • (roads and intersections design, road building, maintenance of transport infrastructure), • Traffic safety
