Innovative and Cooperative Approaches to Utilize Shenandoah Valley Organic Resources and Reduce Nutrients to the Bay

This project aims to maximize the value of organic resources in the Shenandoah Valley by converting poultry litter to bio-oil, synthetic gas, and fertilizer. Additionally, a nutrient removal reactor will be installed to reduce nutrient levels in dairy manure through struvite crystallization. By implementing innovative and cooperative approaches, this project aims to reduce nutrients flowing into the Bay and increase revenue streams associated with manure utilization.
