  2. the context and the goal • one of the responsibilities of ISIK UNIVERSITY in the LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus Project is to provide technical support to the project • a first step on this line is to develop a model for provision of the technical support • the model is an outline definition of the technical support to be provided (i.e. the scope and the goal, the determinants (requirements and inputs, etc.), the approach, the roles and the actors, and the main services, etc.) LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus, Zaragoza Meeting, October 2007

  3. the methodology (for developing the model) • identify scope and goal of the technical support to be provided • identify functional and requirements of the technical support to be provided (input from project definition document and from state-of-the art) • collect information from participating institutions (tools and resources available, procedures and practices, etc.) • develop draft model • consolidate (discuss and finalize) model LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus, Zaragoza Meeting, October 2007

  4. scope and goal • the goal is to provide technical support to the project to assure smooth progress of the project from a technical point of view • the scope of the technical support is as defined in the project definition document LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus, Zaragoza Meeting, October 2007

  5. functional requirements • technical support for wp on management, e.g. publishing e-newsletter, virtual meetings, project communication, etc. • technical support for wp on preparation of educational products, e.g. integrating e-learning tools with LEFIS web site, etc. • technical support for wp on educational activities, e.g. e-learning tools, social software tools, etc. • technical support for wp on dissemination and dissemination and exploitation, e.g. publishing project deliverables on project web site, etc. • technical support on wp on quality assurance, etc. • etc. LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus, Zaragoza Meeting, October 2007

  9. roles / actors • IRDC (Informatics Research and Development Center) at ISIK UNIVERSITY provides centralised technical support • a local technical support team / unit at each site provides local technical support • partners get technical support from central and / or local technical support unit, as needed to perform activities as defined in project definition LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus, Zaragoza Meeting, October 2007

  10. central support services • web site and portal – integrated into existing LEFIS web site • e-newsletter • medium for internal (within project) communication • promotion of web2.0 / social software (i.e. awareness raising, help desk), e.g. blogging, bookmarking, teleconferencing, shared workspace, multimedia sharing, etc. • tools help desk • LMS/CMS hosting -if needed LAW&ICT Shared Virtual Campus, Zaragoza Meeting, October 2007
