  1. It’s Time to RHYME!!! I know you’ve all got some fresh, funky beats—let’s see how quick you are on your feet. First, write down the word for the picture you see, then list more words that sound similarly.

  2. Here’s an example so you know what to do; let’s practice together, then work with your crew. Rose Close Nose Pose Doze Toes Shows Hose Grows

  3. If you need help, I’ll give you a clue. Just raise your hand, and I’ll come visit you.

Now that you’ve made a list of words you know, let’s write some silly poems that really flow! • As a group you will write a “poem” of EIGHT (8) lines, divided into FOUR (4) groups of two sentences. Each pair of sentences must have rhyming words at the end.  I went to the beach and found a shell. Walking on the rocks I almost fell. The sun made me tired so I took a nap. I was sleeping really soundly then I felt a tap. It was a little crab that climbed out of my pail. He wanted me to take him on my boat for a sail.
