  1. OPEN SESSION on Tuesday, 15 January 2002 at 09:00, Council Chamber*) 1. Introduction by chairman (5') 2. Report by the Isolde Technical Coordinator (M. Lindroos 10' +5') 3. Report by the Isolde Scientific Coordinator (T. Nilsson 10' +5') 4. Report by nTOF Technical Coordinator (P. Cennini 10' +5') 5. Report on 2002 planned activities at nTOF (P. Pavlopoulos 10' +5') 6. Status on SSP activity review document (M. Dietrich5') 7. Presentation of four proposals : P148 Study of beta decay of 12B (H. Fynbo) (15' +5') (referees J.P. B. Rubio, J. Suhonen) P149 Obtaining empirical validation of Shape coexistence in the mass 70 region (D. Jenkins) (15' +5') (referees C.R. Alvares, K.H. Langanke) P150 Precision Study of the beta decay of 62Ga (15' +5') (referees J. Kluge, D. Warner) P151 Study of deficient P and Bi isotopes by simultaneous atomic and nuclear spectroscopy (J.Kluge, D. Warner) (15'+5') In the CLOSED SESSION, we will discuss the above subjects, plus: - Addendum P136 Isospin symmetry of transitions probed by weak and strong interactions (Y. Fujita) (first discussed february 2001) (referees J. Suhonen, C. Rossi Alvarez) - Document "Solid State Physics at Isolde) (referees J.P. Duraud, P. Lieb) Report from 11th INTC meeting 25/02/2002(nToF part)

  2. 4. Report from nToF Technical Coordinator : P. Cennini - Shielding is being modified after the target, and after the sweeping magnet Work should be completed for nToF start-up (May, 10th) - "Proposal" for a Second Measurement Station at 165 m (SMS165) Third collimator needed (ø3=8 cm @ 152 m) [now ø1=11 cm at 136 m & ø2=1.8 cm @ 176 m] 5. Report on 2002 planned activities at nToF : P. Pavlopoulos - Beam requests for this year (71018p+ available) 1.Completion of nToF02 (Characteristics of the facility) 1 1018p+ 2. Experiment nToF03 3 1018p+ 3. P142 (submitted in september2001) 2 1018p+ 4. Pxxx to be submitted in May 1 1018p+ - Positive recommendations for 1 & 2 only - Spokesperson required by INTCfor each experiment - Second Measurement Station at 165 m (SMS165) not discussed DG statements in open session : - Members States support Isolde, nToF, (and AD) - nToF : Acknowledgement of progress in background studies Should produce data as soon as possible, and work "as Isolde" Members sReport from 11th INTC meeting 25/02/2002(nToF part)

  3. Additional Shieldingat the exit of the Target Area Marble By adding shielding B & C, according with the FLUKA simulation, the expected reduction of the radioactivity induced by 7Be is ~ 7.

  4. Shielding after the Sweeping Magnet(compatible with the construction of the Second Measuring Station)

  5. Suggested lay out for the Second Measuring Station Proposal from Orsay
