Description of Project In 2011, as a result of negotiations with the Ministry of Health, following specifications of the new University Hospital were established: • Area of land for investment: 15.28 acres • The surface of objects: 109 685 m2 • Volume: 391 709 m3 • Number of beds: 925 • Estimated value of investments 1,230,060,000 PLN, including: - Preparatory work and construction – renovations: 886,158,000 PLN - The basic medical supplies: 343,902,000 PLN • Completion date: 2019

Description of Project The hospital will consist of the following modules: • Inpatient module with 925 beds • Surgical and diagnostic module • Operating theatre module with 24 operating rooms • Hospital emergency department with 24 beds • Specialist outpatient clinics • Educational and administrative unit

Challenges and cooperation opportunities The biggest medical investment in Poland. The planned hospital is designed so that the objects can fulfil several strategic functions: • Diagnostic, using the latest imaging equipment • Therapeutic based on the latest and innovative methods of conservative and surgical treatment • Educational for the medical staff from southern and south-eastern Poland • Allowing for multi-profile scientific clinical studies The transfer to a new location will be associated with a reduction in hospital beds (medical positions).
