  1. Mission! Mission! Mission! 15th. Sunday Ordinary Time July 13, 2003

  2. First Reading A Prophet! in spite of everything! Amos 7:12-15

  3. Amaziah, priest of Bethel, said to Amos Off with you, visionary, flee to the land of Judah!

  4. Never again prophesy in Bethel!

  5. because it is the king's sanctuary and a royal temple!

  6. Amos answered: I was no prophet! Nor son of a prophet! I was a shepherd and a dresser of sycamores!

  7. The Lord took me from following the flock and told me:

  8. Go, prophesy to my people Israel!

  9. Lord, let us see your kindness! And grant us your salvation!

  10. Second Reading In love he destined us out of his own initiative Eph 1:3-14

  11. Blessed be the God and Father of O.L.J.C!

  12. He has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens

  13. He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blemish before him in Love

  14. He destined us in the person of Christ in accord with the favor of his will to be his children for the praise of the glory of his Grace that he granted us in the Beloved

  15. In Him by his blood we have Redemption, forgiveness

  16. The treasure of his grace, wisdom and prudence has been his favor... Through Him we know the MYSTERY of his Will

  17. the Plan to be realized in Christ when the appropiate time will come to recapitulate everything in CHRIST

  18. Third Reading He began to send them out two by two Mk 6:7-13

  19. Jesus called the Twelve and began to send them out two by two

  20. A walking stick! Nothing else! No food, no sack, no money! He gave them authority over unclean spirits

  21. They were to wear sandals but not a second tunic!

  22. Wherever you enter a house stay there until you leave! Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you leave there and shake the dust off your feet!

  23. They went off and preached repentance

  24. They drove out many demons they annoited with oil many who were sick and cured them!
