During Year Two • As you move through the formative assessment events – incorporate the elements Standard 17 and 19 into your discussion • Your formative assessment documents will provide evidence for you portfolio when you are following the State Frameworks.

STANDARDS DISCUSSIONACTIVITY DIRECTIONS • Sit in table groups of similar grade level and/or subject area assignment. • As a table group, discuss each of the overhead prompts. Use your guidebook and Frameworks as a resource. • PTs and SPs take notes on the four-square worksheet.
Standards Review Discussion Prompts -1 What are the crucial entry-level skills and knowledge for your grade level? What are the crucial skills and knowledge which your students are expected to have mastered before entering the next grade?
Standards Review Discussion Prompt - 2 Considering the categories of entry-level, progress monitoring and summative assessment what are some assessments you would be considering? What information will these assessments give you about student learning?
CAROUSEL BRAINSTORMACTIVITY DIRECTIONS • Move as table groups • Choose a recorder and a facilitator • Quickly brainstorm response to the posted question and write your responses on the chart • At the signal, pass the marker to another group member and move one chart to the right • Repeat the process until your team has responded to all questions
