  2. Adolf Hitler (1889 – 1945) Adolf Hitler was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party. He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945.

  4. Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler was considered as one of the great ‘monsters’ of history in many areas of the world but to Germans he seemed to offer country a way out of difficulties.

  5. Adolf Hitler In 1930s high inflation and serious economic problems in Germany. In 1934 large programme of arms production ordered by Hitler. In 1932, there were 36military aircrafts but by 1939 the number increased to about 8,500.

  11. Hitler’s attitude towards Jews Persecution of Jews started in 1930s. Hitler’s Nazi Party stirred up hatred against them. Soldiers beat them in the streets. Jews in German controlled lands were forced to wear yellow star on their sleeves to show their race.

  15. Hitler’s concentration camps At Auschwitz, Treblinka, Belsen etc. Hitler hated Slavs, Jews, gypsies, mentally – ill people plus some religious groups. Before and during the war millions of such people sent to the ‘concentration’ and work camps.
