  2. Opera House • It is located at Bennelong Point in Sydney • It is a built landmark • It is 183m long and 120m wide • It is a series of white’ shells’ and looks like sails

Opera House [continued] • It is built by Jorn Utzon. • It has opened in 1973 • It is used as a performing venue-1500 performances per year with 1.2 million visitors viewing the performances • 7 million people visit the site each year. • It is important because it’s the worlds heritage site tourist destination.

  4. Great barrier Reef • Runs parallel to north east of Queensland • From Bundaberg to cape York • It is Natural not built • 3000km long, area of 348, 000, square kilometres • 2900 individual reefs make up the Great Barrier reef, over 900 islands are part of the reef system

Great Barrier Reef (continued) • Only living thing that can be seen from outer space. • Breeding area for humpback whales, home to more than 400 different kinds of coral, as well as coral sponges, mollusc, rays, dolphins, over 1500 species of tropical fish, more than 200 types of birds around 20 types of reptiles including sea turtles and giant clams over
