  2. Free outdoor gym on the foreshore of Funchal located next to the Funchal Cable Cars and a skate park. The equipment is in good condition and ample space with minor overhead shading for those warm Madeira days. Great spot for a street workout, calisthenics or your own run and circuit training.   4. TRAINING At the free outdoor gym and park there is plenty of chin up bars, parallel bars, tricep dip bars and even a set of rings. Some of the single overhead bars unfortunately rotate. There is also some basic cross trainer, a spinning bicycle type equipment and a overhead target for those arriving with their own medicine balls.   5. LOCKER INFO No lockers or safe locations to leave belongings unattended. This area is a notorious area for thieves to hang out and steal belongings, so please keep possessions under watch at all times. There are no outdoor cameras due to Portuguese laws, so please ensure the safety of your items. This is a warning coming from experience and concern for our fellow fitness lovers.   6. LOCATION If you make it to the entry of the cable cars, you won't be able to miss the outdoor gym overlooking the water. This free outdoor gym should be easy to find and provide a nice workout.
