  3. 9 May 2011 Solar WA Today • New Mission Statement: • We shall further the development and use of solar energy, and support related technologies. This shall be accomplished through the exchange of ideas and information, with concern for the economic, environmental, and social fabric of Washington State. • Previous Mission Statement: • The purposes of the Association shall be to further the development, use of and support for solar energy and related arts, sciences, and technologies with concern for the economic, environment, and social fabric of the state. This shall be accomplished through the exchange of ideas and information by means of meetings, publications, and information centers. The Association shall serve to inform the public, institutional, and governmental bodies, and seek to raise the level of public awareness of its purpose.
