  3. Background • JCOMM-I recognised the need for a VOS website. • Personal approach from Dr Peter Dexter (then WMO) to develop and maintain the website. • Agreement by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to host the website. • Online since late 2001. VOS Website, SOT-IV, Geneva
