  2. iPad Funding Grants • CVS - $1500 • 109 Board - $1500 from last year • 109 Board - $3000 for this year • Mr. Pugh contributed an addt’l $500 BWS/STLP $1200 Market Day Pie Sales $1200 STLP - $500

  3. iPad Expenses • Each iPad cost $399 • 21 ipad currently = $8,379 • 21 iPad cases = approx $1200

  4. How are we getting more? Toyota Grant - $2500 (District 10,000) PC Board of Ed. Match - $2500 Pennies for iPads (Student Council) Looking for more grants! Any other suggestions? Next purchases will be for Kindergarden, special areas, resource/intervention staff and for classroom with high numbers (intermediate).

The Basics • On/off button • Volume button • Home button • What is an app? • Turning off apps • Sliding screens • Moving apps • Settings • Wifi – PCS Net • General – Restrictions – passcode • Installing apps – off when in student hands • Deleting apps – off when in student hands • In-app purchase – always OFF • Camera – teacher choice

  7. App Maintenance • Orientation landscape/portrait • Deleting an app • Deleting app must be on in Restrictions • Hold app down until it bounces • Then slide it where you want it. Make a folder by hovering the app over another app. It will then prompt you to make a folder.

  8. Installing apps • iTunes account/app store • Installing apps must be on in restrictions • If you are syncing to the computer you will log into iTunes, select apps and sync when you are done • Installing wireless, go to app store on iPad and select app, it will prompt you for the your itunes password, enter and it will download. • Cloud – if you want your cloud on it will download what everyone on your account has downloaded.

  9. Wireless Disclaimer! As you know we have had difficulty with our wireless….I found out right before the break that our wireless devices have been recalled. The company is working to get all the devices replaced but they have many schools to service and are expected to be at PC soon. The good news is that we will have working wireless soon!
