  1. Get Your Best Night’sSleep Are you struggling to get your full 8 hours of sleep? Well, you aren’t the only one. We live increasingly busy and stressful lifestyles and this is undoubtedly impacting the quality and quantity of our sleeping habits. While getting 8 hours of deep, high quality sleep may seem impossible – the truth is that you can improve your sleep with just a few minor changes. Whether that comes from changing your bedding to an Australian wool quilt, or woollen underlay or getting a brand new bed –don’t despair about your sleeping habits just yet. These are some of the top things that you can change to ensure that you get a good night’s sleep: It all starts with your bed The very first thing that you should look into to improve your sleep is the state of the foundation that you are laid upon. Check out the condition of your bedframe, and make sure that it’s still in good condition. If you find any splinters, lumps, bumps, creaks, or cracks, then you should consider investing in a new bedframe to improve your sleep. Having a high quality mattress is also hugely important when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep. If your mattress is too soft, too hard, has broken springs or is starting to get indentations where you lie on it –chances are that it’s time to look into buying a new one. Change up your bedding Believe it or not, your bedding can also have an impact on the quality of your sleep. Ensure that your bedding is clean and fresh, and if it has started to get full of holes, or just a bit thread bare then you need to invest in some new ones.

  2. It’s not just the state of your bedding that can make a difference; it’s also the type of bedding that you use. If you have allergies then a good option will be changing to hypoallergenic natural materials such as an Australian wool quilt, or a woollen underlay. If you live in a hot climate try and avoid sheets that are made of fabrics such as satin, and rather go for something cooler like cotton. Get electronics out of the bedroom The quality of your sleep can be highly impacted by the lights that are found in your room. Studies have shown that LED lights and others that are emanated by electric devices are particularly bad for your sleeping habits, and therefore it’s advised that you don’t sleep with any unnecessary electronics in your room. Change of colour It amazing what a big impact colours have on our levels of serenity and calmness, which in turn obviously helps us to sleep. Make sure that your room is painted or decorated in soothing colours such as blues, greys and earthy tones that will help you get a little shuteye at the end of the day. Exercise Exercise is one of the easiest, healthiest ways to ensure you are getting good sleep. Exercising for just half an hour every day will improve the quality of your sleep by huge amounts. Make an effort to run, do yoga, or go hiking for just a small portion of your day and you will notice a big change in sleeping patterns.
