  3. Apostrophe Use it for belongings: Individual- add ‘s The bag belongs to Danielle- Danielle’s bag. Plural ending in s- add ‘ The ball belongs to the 4 boys- The boys’ ball. Plural not ending in s- add ‘s The school belongs to the children- The children’s school.

  4. Semi-Colon Shows that 2 ideas in one sentence are connected in some way. We went to Spain for our holiday but the Grays went to Italy We went to Spain for our holiday; the Grays went to Italy. It’s used instead of a conjunction (joining word)

  5. Comma Use for a pause in a sentence If you would finish eating your lunch,we could go outside. Use to separate a list I went to Morrisons and bought a sandwich, some crisps, a chocolate bar, and a banana. Use to separate 2 parts of a sentence While I finished my work, my friend made dinner.
