  2. Question • How Does Your Age Affect Your Memory?

  3. Materials A notebook, a pencil or pen, a list of words to test my volunteers’ memory, a stopwatch, and of course, volunteers.

  4. Procedure • First, I made a list of 12 random words,I decided that I would test in two different ways, auditory and visual. • The way that I tested people was that I would read out to them 12 words slowly, then they would see how many words they could repeat back to me. While they were repeating the words back to me, I would put a little check in the boxes next to the words they got right. • Next, I would test them visually. They had 30 seconds to remember the words, then they would hand me back the words, and they would repeat as many as they can. Then I averaged people’s scores. • I also compared the age groups, and how they did on the visual and auditory.

This test was administered to the general public, but there are people who I did not test who have very good memories, that mean that this rule doesn’t apply to everyone. Also, when I
