  2. Charity • Today I gave 10% of my money to charity. I picked Toys for Tots. Usually people drop off a wrapped toy to a pickup center for the U. S. Marine Corps, but you can also donate money online. Over 97% of my donations goes to the mission of providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children. I now have $900,000 left to spend.

  3. Taxes After charity, I paid 2o% of my money for taxes. That surely seems a lot to me, since I don’t know how they are using it. I now have $700,000 left to spend.

  4. Alabama‑Mascot.jpg University of Alabama • I chose the University of Alabama as my college since both my parents went there. The cost for tuition, room, board, parking, books, and supplies was $18,905 per semester. For four years, the cost would be $151,240. I now have $548, 760 left to spend.

  5. Vehicle The cost of this fully loaded 2013 Corvette is $49,600. That leaves me $499,160 to spend on a home, furniture, a vacation, and gifts for my parents and teacher.

  6. House • I bought my house in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, for $380,000. This house was in foreclosure and was a great deal. I have $119,160 left.

  7. Gifts for Family Members • I got my Dad concert tickets for $2oo, taxes and fees included. I got my Mom a pair of Uggs for $155. With tax, that is $165.85. I also bought her $500 worth of jewelry. I now have $118,294.15 left to spend.

  8. Vacation • I went with my family on a 6-night vacation to San Destin, Florida. The cost of the trip was $2,000. This included food, gas and souvenirs. I now have $116,294.15 left to spend.

  9. Entertainment/hobbies • I bought two jet skis for $11,000 each and a pontoon boat for $68,480. I now have $25,814.15 left to spend.

  10. Gift for Teacher • I bought Mrs. Simmons two tickets to the SEC Championship game for $1300. I now have $24,514.15 left to spend.

  11. ePal Visit • The round trip airfare for my ePal from England to Atlanta (and back) was $1061. I now have $23,453.15 left to spend.

  12. ePal excursion #1 • I took my ePal on a 7-night Disney cruise to the eastern Caribbean. The cost of the cruise was $3959. The round trip airfare to Orlando was $488. The ship boarded from Cape Canaveral, FL. The total cost of the trip was $4447. I now have $19,006.15 left to spend.

  13. ePal excursion #2 • I took my ePal to the baseball Hall of Fame weekend festivities in Cooperstown, NY. The trip cost $1108.50, which included tickets to the museum, round trip airfare to Albany, NY, food, and the rental car fee to Cooperstown, NY. I now have $17,897.65 left to spend.

  14. ePal excursion #3 • I took my ePal to Six Flags Over Georgia for the day. The cost was $175. This included tickets to the park, parking, and lunch at the pizzeria. I now have $17,722.65 left to spend.

  15. ePal excursion #4 • I took my ePal to Yellowstone National Park for the week. The trip included a 6-night stay in a mountain cabin, whitewater rafting, tours, and round trip airfare to Jackson Hole, WY. The total cost of the trip was $2279.00. I now have $15,443.65 left to spend.

  16. ePal excursion #5 • I took my ePal for an extended weekend visit to Washington, DC. We drove by car to DC and toured the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian, and other landmarks. Our stay included 3-nights in a hotel, food, gas and souvenirs. The trip cost $1,270.00. I now have $14,173.65 left to spend.
