  2. Journalism Journalism has many different facets. Some include: • Sports • Fashion • World wide • Local • Opinion

  3. Fashion journalist is a broad term that refers to any reporter or columnist that covers fashion. Fashion journalists may attend shows, events, or meet with designers to discuss the latest trends and designs. It is a fashion journalists job to research, analyze and report the fashion going on at time. They could work for blogs, magazines or private companies. What is a fashion journalist?

  4. Skills There are a few skills needed to be a fashion journalist: • Computer Skills • Well developed writing skills • Interviewing skills • Love of fashion • An artistic eye

  5. In the US, a typical journalist makes about $35,000 • In South Carolina, a photographer averages 29,000 • The highest paid photographers are in places like Georgia (averaging $40,500) and California (averaging $41,000) Wages

  6. Wages continued… • The lowest salaries are in states such as Wyoming (averaging 25,600) and Missouri (averaging 26,000)

  7. National and State Trends Nationally, photography is predicted at a 13% change from 2010 to 2020 In the state of South Carolina, photography is expected a 14% change from 2010 to 2020
