  20. Cooperation These 2 organizations have stood by our institute by assisting and supporting our work for many years now: • The Association of Sponsors of the Institute for Insurance Studies comprises almost every German insurance company, many major insurance brokers and insurance agents who are dedicated-company insurers. It helps us out of financial shortage caused by public budgets and assures a close connection to insurance practice. • The Association of Graduates in Insurance Business Studies consists of 2,000 members which our graduates are associated with. It maintains contacts between graduates (through local meetings, the association´s magazine, and by organising social events), supports further education of their members, consults students, and assists the institute in words and deeds.

  21. Continuing Education • Professors of the Institute for Insurance Studies and members of the Association of Graduates in Insurance Business Studies founded the Seminar for professional continuing education which annually offers a wide agenda for employees of insurers and insurer agents, and contributes to the completion and expansion of the participants theoretical basis and current specialized knowledge. • Not least of all, once a year we organize the Cologne Insurance Symposium for the graduates – where high-ranking experts from the industry and science discuss current issues – and additionally the annual Cologne Reassurance Symposium.
