Consuming Film • In ethnic enclaves, one can find DVDs that feature actresses like Kim Cuong and Thanh Nga re-packaged for the Vietnamese diaspora, distributed through production companies like Thuy Nga and Asia. • These DVDs circulate within an imagined community for the purposes of commodification but also enable the diasporans to reimagine as well what Saigon looked like in the past.
