Important places and people Important people Important places • Wangari Maathai is important because she is a environmentalist and human rights activist. • Ngugi wa Thiong’o is the most influential writer. • Jomo Kenyatta was a Republican, a President and was Commonwealth. • Catherine Ndereba was the best Marathon Runner in the World. • Fourteen Waterfalls- a 27 meter high cascade on the Athi River which has a shape of a horseshoe. • City Park- The first public in Nairobi, established in 1904 • Ostrich Park- birds in different ages, nestlings and very old specimens live there.
