  1. Saturday , August 28, 2010 We Shall Reclaim The Dream without Violence, but Through Mlk’s Vision

Al Sharpton, president of the National Action Network and long-time civil rights activists organized a rally at Dunbar High School– the first public school in the U.S. for African Americans and a march called “Reclaim the Dream” in honor of Dr. Kings “I have a Dream” speech on Saturday, Aug. 28.

  3. Thousands of Americans, many human rights and union organizations gathered to participate in the rally. It marked the 47th anniversary of the “I have a Dream “ speech.

  4. A little girl looks on at the Rally at Dunbar High School.

  5. The march begun around 1:15 p.m. leaving from Dunbar High School. Howard University Students joined forces for the march lined up three by three with their arms intertwined.

  6. D.C. Police assisted with clearing the streets of traffic and cars so that the march could continue.

  7. The elderly chose to walk while the young witnessed history.
