The problem • Information not prominent; no mnemonics • Consumers are on the Internet not presentedwithwheree.g. 'class A' is in the scale • Growing sales through Internet as well as researchingbeforebuying in physical shop • meaning • Consumers do not get good information • Loss of part of predictedenergysavings

  4. Solution? Technology is now advanced enough to display the label and fiche on the Internet However, immediate display not always feasible: little visual space e.g. on smart phones

  6. Solution • Allow 'nested display' • and • Ensurethat the image usedprovides information on whate.g. class A means. • or • Similarapproach for the product information fiche

  7. The delegated regulation amends all existing energy labelling regulations (for ovens and range hoods this new approach was already included directly) applies from January 2015 for any new model (including upgrades) placed on the market
