Poland – BPO center • PAIiIZ observes rising interest in locating service centresin Poland: in finance,accounting, logistics, and IT. • Main advantages of Poland are: • young and well educated people; • attractive operation costs. Over 20 new shared service centres were established in Poland in 2006 of which 8 were guided by PAIiIZ.

Project selection criteria • the degree of innovative solution; • the number of new workplaces related to the investment; • the number of people with higher educations among the newlyemployed workers; • the level of the investment costs; • position in the chain of values; • investment localization.

Eligible expenditures The allocation of support is based on: • purchase of land for the investment (up to 10% of eligible expenditures); • rent or lease of a property; • purchase or covering of costs for fixed assets; • instalation or setting up of fixed assets; • expertises, research, licenses and technical knowledge.
