  1. ROCWEAR STRIKER BIT SYSTEM

  2. The RocWear Striker bit system was designed to maximize its wear life while reducing the maintenance time required to change the bits. The bits are cast from a proprietary Chromium-Tungsten alloy formulated for both abrasion resistance and durability.

  3. Each long lasting bit has a dual edge which doubles the already exceptional life of each RocWear bit. To take the guesswork out of maintenance. Indicators are cast directly onto the bit to notify you when they need rotation or replacement.

  4. The retaining hex head bolts are recessed into the bit to protect them from wear. This also makes installation and removal a one-person one-wrench job.

  5. Saves time and money through easier maintenance The RocWear bits weigh only 1/8 of the conventional T1 strikers. RocWear 6 lbs Lighter weight means: T1 Striker - Easier to handle 50 lbs - Safer to handle - Easier maintenance

  6. Saves time and money through easier maintenance The RocWear bits use 7/8” diameter bolts whereas the T1 Strikers use 1-1/2” diameter bolts. RocWear 7/8” x 4 HHCS Smaller fasteners mean: T1 Striker - Less costs 1-1/2” x 8-1/2 SHCS - Less torque - Easier maintenance

  7. Compare the labor costs RocWear The RocWear bit system requires only 1 maintenance person to change or rotate each bit. 1 man x T1 Striker Conventional T1 strikers require 2 maintenance persons to change the bits. 2 men x

  8. Compare the labor costs RocWear Each RocWear striker carries 2 bits or 24 bits for a 4-lobed 48” wide rotor. 1 man x 24 T1 Striker A 4-lobed 48” wide rotor carries 16 strikers 2 men x 16

  9. Compare the labor costs RocWear Each bit takes 2.5 minutes to change or rotate. 1 man x 24 x 2.5 T1 Striker Each striker takes 30 minutes to change. 2 men x 16 x 30

  10. Compare the labor costs RocWear This gives a total time of… 1 man x 24 x 2.5 = 60 min. = 1 man-hr T1 Striker 2 men x 16 x 30 = 960 min. = 16 man-hrs.

  11. Compare the labor costs RocWear At an hourly rate of $35/hour…. 1 x 24 x 2.5 = 60 min. = 1 hr = $35.00 T1 Striker LABOR ALONE MAY SAVE YOU $525 PER STRIKER CHANGE 2 x 16 x 30 = 960 min. = 16 hrs = $560.00
