  5. Give it Time • Ephesians 1:17-18a “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.   7. Respond • Psalm 119:9 • Just do it… • James 1:22-25 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.   12. What are you thankful for? • Name things that happened in the past 24 hours that you are thankful for. • Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Nov 10-Dec 15: 11:00-12:15

Be Specific • Pray for people by name • Pray for specific ailments and results • Get to know missionaries and pray for their specific needs – subscribe to their newsletter so you can pray specifically • Be careful what you pray for • God always meets the need Exercise: Pray for 3 people by name.   14. Pray Biblically • Matthew 6:9-13 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Homework Challenge: • During your time in the Word – Write down a verse or passage that applies to these areas of your life: • Family • Co-Workers • Unsaved friend or family member • During your prayer time, use the verses you wrote down to pray for these people in your life.
